    Tech talk?

Surely there's a few billable hours lying around to take care of this.

A complimentary remount, a handshake, and 1-2 free tunes should make up diminished value of a twice mounted ski when it comes time to sell.

I have some 193 Atomic Sugar Daddy ("Pimp Daddy" edition), full camber, twin tip, that I'll sell you. Very nice condition. Burly.

Anything is a bump ski if you ski it in bumps.

Pretty much that except I have a drill press too. I would never let a shop mount my skis.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

I have some 210 PRE slaloms you can borrow. Pretty sure they still have camber.
God could those things hammer the bumps.

Come off Yodeler (was a double back then)
Bomb straight down Mardi Gras, hook a left onto Chute.
Stay far skiers right- HUGE air off the cat track-
RIGHT into the meat of VW sized bumps covered with 3 ft of Lake Erie butter.
WRECK halfway down with a huge grin on your face.
*face fully frozen by the time you get back to the top*

edit- forgot to mention this is at 8 PM under the lights.

Pay no attention to these pansies telling you to accept a remount. Nay, I say, this is an unforgivable sin! A pair of skis has been besmirched beyond all possibility of skiability! Time to go scorched earth on these motherfuckers. Slash every employees tires in the parking lot, dog shit under every door handle, and burn the fucking building to the ground!

I’ll never sell em so not worried about that. But this is what I’m leaning towards.

I mean, it’s like if you get a new car and it shows up with holes in the bumper where they mounted the license plate frame wrong you’d be bummed right even though it would still drive the same.

I think that’s it. Remount, free tune or two. Buy a mounting jig (I don’t trust myself to a print out and tape) and dog shit under every car in the lot on Roswell Rd., store patron or not.

    Exactly

    Printer templates

Splurge on a ski drill bit. That might cost $10 and last a lifetime. And it won’t drill through the base.
And maybe spend three bucks on a pozi bit if you don’t want to hand screw. Just don’t over spin. Use the clutch.

Drill and paper template and ski drill bit is no brainer.

Most shop rats have no brain after a few doobies and beers.
No offense to the shop rats on the forum. But it ain’t rocket science.

Maybe, but a bumper isn't visible when you are driving, whereas every chair ride those plugs be looking up at you.

If you look at the tips they don't appear to be level.

If you were really OCD you would have also noticed that in relation to the little logo in the middle of the ski the heels are mounted the same distance back

Yeah, zoom in. They don’t look the same in relation to the little logo but like the other dude said the tips aren’t level so that’s why.

    And also, it was joke…

Could be worse. Had a buddy who ordered a 36' custom built marlin fishing boat to take him from his place in the Bahamas to winter off the coast of SA. Builder mis mounted the gas tank and it would only hold 300 gal short of specs.

So that means it's time for you to talk to Vinman. He's making the nicest, highest quality skis with more love in every pair than just about anyone out there today. Take a look at White Room skis and see if you agree.

I was in this same predicament with 203 K2 seth Morrisons. Red model with Flames. You know. ca. 1996?

Mismount done 3 sizes too small iirc.

They offered me any ski on the wall. I took the new volkl G40 PRO.

And I kept the K2's. Skied them that season, liked the volkl's better and sold 'em to a bud cheep.

Yikes. One of my high school professors was having his sailboat taken to Hawaii for him for his sabbatical year and in the process it got stolen and used in a similar fashion. Nasty people out there at sea.

Also, that’s an epic fuck up on the marlin boat.

Thanks for the compliment on the boards, I honestly have been dying to ride them for months now which is why today was such a bummer. First non-Solly ski I’ve owned since my old Hart F-17s

Djongo, you being up a point someone else did today. What if the shop finds another pair of these ‘22 Candide 2.0s and mounts em properly; what of the mismounts?

Personally I said I don’t care; goal is indemnification - put me in the same position I’d be if everything went to plan.

Girl said, you think they’d want to keep mis-drilled boards? I said if they don’t I’ll definitely take em, but I’d never expect them.
