you can go small or med...small will be more fitted and good over a t-shirt and probably a base. i think a midlayer might max it out if you measure 39-40 with a tape as the small pit to pit is 21"x 2 or 42", you might get a fleece bross type thickness under it.... i would just buy 2 since u are borderline (lol just kidding) but seriously i am using both a med and a large for different situations.....

So if I'm happy with the fit of my large antero 2 and 2 + jackets....stay with that size in this vest? I'll try to compare numbers too.

    no worries

belgian blue is just a tad lighter weight. ice blue has very small light grid pattern too. if we were talking danier (D) for reference (and this number will not be correct) but just to state the difference....if the belgian were 200D the ice blue would be about 300D if that makes sense . also very little stretch if any to either...

    tmi follows:
and for the record : for the gear tech snobs reading...if we were just talking face fabric greige denier of the laminate ( since there are 3 layers: front greige, middle membrane, inside tricot all laminated together) but if we were just talking face greige..... it would be difference of about 70D Vs 90D . and, the interior tricot yarns are slight heavier guage as from one to the other as well. but, you cant compare these laminates by denier of the complete laminate like a single layer cordura since 3 layers make up the neoshell on these...

The ice blue fabric is great--light, not crinkly, enough uh... structure?? That it is not prone to flap in the wind. Someone should grab that!

how about a wind shirt or anorak?

light fabric - not hard shell but not soft shell

not waterproof - water resistant and wind resistant

doesn’t even need to have a hood

something that could fit over a t shirt or a puffy

Fwiw i never realized a company took into consideration the dreaded throat choke when a jacket is fully zipped to the top. As i was trying to take advantage of some spring sales, i ended up returning my fair share because of this. FRS
nailed this design area....when everything needs to sealed up. Kudos.

Anyone looking to sell their medium anorak? Hoping for something other than black, ideally the ice blue color.
