Question Which AT-compatible alpine binding has the most vertical toe room/lowest AFD?

There are several "AT-compatible" alpine bindings out there.

    Salomon/Atomic/Armada Warden
    Tyrolia Attack AT
    Marker Jester/Griffon ID

Can anyone compare the adjustment range on the AFDs? I bought a pair of Griffon IDs, but I would have to grind some rubber off the soles to fit my AT boots in them. (They fit in the Marker Duke/Baron/F12/F10...the AFD adjuster is different on the Griffon/Jester, and doesn't have as much range.) Do the Wardens or Tyrolias have more vertical room?

I sell all three and yep, both the Warden MNC's and the Tyrolia AT's have more room and I've never had a problem adjusting their toes to any new AT soled boot. Not sure which of the two has more adjustment without actually doing some measuring but my guess would be the Wardens. Whereas there are many AT boots that won't fit in the ID, especially when the new without wear.

Warden with an AT boot is crazy upright (because the toe moves up, instead of the AFD moving down), if you like some ramp go with one of the others. Even if you have to sand/grind some rubber off the boot toe.

Thank you to Spyderjon and 1000-oaks for some very useful information!

I found exhaustive ramp information here: https://www.skitalk.com/forums/gear-...omparisons.11/
Indeed, Wardens have very little ramp, and if you bump up the toepiece to fit AT boots they're probably completely flat.
I'll probably go with Tyrolias, since their ramp is closer to the ramp on my Dynafits. (Even with a toe shim, Dynafits have a lot of ramp.)

Tyrolia also has the most tolerance for short toe lugs due to punching or design.

^ Especially if you find a rare pair of 912 with the sliding AFD.

Indeed. Some years back my alpine boots fell apart from old age and I used Scape Lasers for a short while. They had a lot of rocker but fit in there. I know it wasn’t smart or safe but it sort of worked
