Does anyone know of a decent general doctor in the SLC area who is taking new patients? Everywhere I've called is booked way out. Happy to drive 45mins+ if I have to. Sorry for cluttering the thread, feel free to pm me. Pics from last night.

Isolate them all and midweek is better; planning based on forecasts 100+ hours is consistently better than random chance only if you're Opensnow and your revenue stream depends on cherry picking the best of 20 forecast models for each 12 hour period.

If the road is crap for any reason including avalanche control, crowd density, or wrecked vehicles, you will be very happy to be staying up canyon. The lodge guests I spoke with the past two days all agreed it was "worth every cent more" than staying down canyon while they were cozy in their PJs at 8AM watching control work..... and fresh, clean, hot-tubbed up, and watching the red snake from the bar at 6PM.
Really can't argue with that advice!

Looks like might have to push Wed-Sun, due to limited room availability. Sunday likely travel day anyways. 2 midweek and a Saturday is still pretty sweet.

Have to get a few more things covered here, but looking optimistic to make it happen.

Benneke, I had the same question and just used my insurance provider to find a Dr. Finally got an appointment 4 months out, and its just a "consultation" to see if I can be a new patient. annoying.

Making LCC ski bum lifestyle possible while not skiing any of their lines. This is why I shill for tourists instead of the SLC locals who hate on them.

Old saying there is some good skiing at Beaver Creek that nobody skis because it isn't labled Gucci...

Pulled the trigger and will be in Atla Wed-Sat next week.

I’ve been saying the same thing for years. Beaters are pretty much never in the way, but the bros always are. I’ll take lines full of people who only want to ski Mambo any day.

I one saw 12 girls and 0 dudes in the GMD hot tub, call it a clam chowder.

Pretty wild day in the Alta periphery. 20 people skinning from the top of the chair to point supreme about 5 minutes after it opened. Most pushed into rocky, we stayed in dry fork for a few SW runs off of Sunset, then into rocky, and home via wolvie shoulder. Noticeable heat on the SE through SW faces, but not particularly wet. High clouds moved in around noon and filtered out some of the solar gain.

Dont worry I tomahawked as a result of trying to jump skip moguls down highboy today. Felt like 6 year old asking for Dshacks help to get my pole back...

hahahahaha hell i wish it meant that, would be more fun.

Given that lets have a funner equation

    F,Load = NW Flow*Wx*((15-32)*5/9)

Timing Supreme chair and then Bowl rope drop preceded by a couple fun Sugarloaf rippers might suggest I cracked D-Rocs and tBatt’s interrelated maths, but the equation I want to share is:

Deep Pow / ASP(influenced by TFW) = Maximum Stoke!!

The sun and snow today in LCC ranks up there in my 37.5 years of enjoying this special place on earth! [emoji482]

So nice to see the sun today, it had been a while! Could see clear out to Pilot Peak this morning and later in the afternoon when the high clouds cleared out, what a beauty of a day...

We found ourselves in the vicinity of the monster slide into Butler's so went to have a peek. Didn't see the reported 9' sections of crown (probably directly below us) but in some areas it was easily 4-5' deep with a debris pile to give you nightmares. The entire bowl slid, SE to NE aspects, and the snow did weird shit when it got to the flats. Some massive piles of debris got pushed up and over a small ridge, some went back uphill on the side of the lower bowl, and some went clear through the flats and down to the next bench. Couple pics of the carnage:

Crown on the SE to E aspect:

E Raymond apparently went huge but the crown was already filled in and the debris barely noticeable. One small pocket was still visible on the N aspect, probably not that small since we could see it form the top of Gobbs:

Some brave soul put a beautiful track straight off the summit down the main gut, made me both scared and jealous.

White Snake looking delicious and murderous at the same time:

Kinda hard to resist that one when it's in but even first thing in the AM the slog out of MillA would have been sweltering. By mid afternoon the whole thing was full of roller balls and point releases. S and W got BAKED today, zipper crust already in full effect by 4PM

The giant slide in Mineral wasn't visible even with binocs from up there but Bonkers is sporting an absolute beast of a glide crack already. Seems early...

Anyhow, enough avi reports. Today was some of the most fun snow I've skied in a while, perfect for high-speed misbehaving. I'd still be up there if the legs didn't demand a break. Did our best with a couple buddies on Gobbs, there's room left in Davis Gulch for anyone who's up there tomorrow!
