Burly up high today. Winds from the north and temps dropping. But of course that meant that the skiing was sublime. Some wind slab development and cracking, as you might expect, but in the sheltered zones, ahhhh....

3,500' of high quality skiing all the way to the valley floor — that was a shocker!

I'm down to have a mag shindig at the waxroom. They come in hot, turnin and burnin. They leave shot, stumblin and mumblin.
Not really. But sometimes yes. At least 3 mags have passed out.

Usually it's just cool to meet mags and talk skiin or whatever.

Koko - I was on the box when that doubledare sundog was going off. We commented on how amazeballs it was. Magic over Colter ridge.

I drove a friend to I F at 5 am and the winds were already beginning to stir. A few squalls, Untracked road from wilson to victor with a kiff squirreling around. That cold north wind brings great conditions but it can be bracing, even for the local toughs.

Bounced back from the bone crusher in S&S, indeed!
Waited for opening with Dr H the other morning. Chatted and took a lap and another chair. Very casual and capable guy. Typical old school local. Content to ski 50/50 on off. not chasing the fresh chunder too hard yet. But some. Cuz it's so freakin good.

    About that...

Man have we had some fine luck with the snow we've gotten. Stacking up just right, firm where ya need it, soft where ya like it. It's a marshmallow dream around here, been snowy and blowy for the better part 3 weeks. Sun peakaboos here and there but mostly a fresh skiff to some feet all around.

It takes X amount of snow to allow free charging at the vill and this pack has stacked up tall and stout. Peeps are still pegging shit. No one cares. Even the tourists.
I raked a massive rock that I ski around all the time the other day. That big powder mohican was undeniable. I had to slash it. Crack. Granite for 3 feet.
    I was had!

UaN's shots tell ya the best of Teton skiing. He's just a dude who gets after it and shows the world how sick skiing is here.

Yo Buster - skied witcho bros from rapid city the other day. Good turns. great skiing.

Some of is his images are flawless but skiing perfect snow day-in-day-out doesn't just happen. I also appreciate that effort that he puts into it.
