    I just don't understand what the huge sports organizations (UOC, FIFA) are thinking when scheduling these events. First, winter Olympics in Sochi, Bejing and Pyeongchang? Now, the World Cup in Qatar??? When has Qatar participated in or won a World Cup match? At least all venues are within 40 miles of each other (unlike when the WC was in Russia) and clubs had to travel 6+ hrs. to stadiums. No juice at all for me this year. I like when local crowds can get into the matches. I'm sure that the European and South American power houses are not thrilled to play in a country that has virtually no soccer history, is extremely hot, will disrupt European League schedules and has a terrible record on human rights,
    Having said that, I will look forward to France, Germany, Argentina and Brazil slugging it out again.

    Got to see this last night- Tampa Bay Rowdies vs Miami FC, beginning of playoffs.


    That 2nd goal from Tampa was a rocket. We were sitting right in back of the left side of the goal. Perfect seats to see the action.

    People will still pay to go se it there... watch it on TV/internet..... and buy products from all the vendors sponsoring it there..
