So @Climber Joe and I made a trade, my S/M for his M/L, and are both happy with the results. I'm 6' 155, 32" waist, 40" chest, long in the torso. I now have Joe's M/L which fits me just right. The front comes down to just cover my belt buckle/waist band when standing. Cinches down snug over just a t shirt, with room to spare.

I think if you are over 5'-10" or so, or just long in torso, there's no reason to go with S/M, no matter how slim. Likewise, if you are under 5'-10", think twice before you size up because length may be an issue. The length is the biggest difference between the two sizes, as far as I can tell. The M/L is about 1.5" longer in the back and a little over 1" longer in the front.

Hope this helps with the sizing questions others had.

This is super helpful. Thank you. I got the M/L and was S/M curious. Hiking, the M/L was too big. In ski gear it seems great. Me: 5'11", 155.

This really belongs in tech talk, but I’m gonna try here.

Can you swap the air canister between two packs without needing a recharge? I have a vest, but would like a pack for certain applications. It would also be nice to just take out the air canister at times, and not have to go through the time and expense to refill it.

I used mine for the first time Sunday at WP. It’s a great Dad tactical vest for skiing with kids.

I'd buy a M/L if anyone is holding, or sees a deal online

I'm 6'2", 185lbs, 33" waist, ~41" chest. Thinking M/L is the right fit - sound right? I read through the whole thread.

Wow I can't believe it's on sale for an even BETTER deal. Wore the vest a few times and dig it.

Thanks for the heads up on the 26L and 36L. Ordered a 36L in green, one size.

Fwiw, the MSRP prices are not correct on a lot of the poacher backpacks. Amazing deals on the 36 L packs.
