I might be interested if you don't already have someone, I'll be in Truckee this weekend I think.

Yup. They're back and they're hangry.

Keep Homewood Public sign-waving party in Tahoe City at 9AM.
Apologies for late notice. They did mention this at the NTPAC meeting last night but I was lazy looking it up (and they only posted to FB, which isn't on my phone). Anyway, you could see it on your way to skiing and honk, or maybe park and join for a few. TRPA is at minimum very neutral on the massive development pressure bearing down on Tahoe right now. Raising awareness and taking action is vital to avoiding even worse traffic and lack of housing. Let's avoid Aspen's mistakes.

I cant fathom how trpa is not against this bs at homeboy. Yet they find time to birddog decks in my hood that don’t even have drainage into the lake…oh ya,

Long shot but does anyone have lift ticket hookups for Mammoth / Palisades?

My mom is visiting and for various reasons does not have appetite for a 2023/2024 I can’t ski pass (main one: she’s in Europe). Day tickets with 25pct buddy pass discount are still 130-180 per day, ouch.

It’s instructor week at Pali this week so one of them for sure is holding freebies. If you know any instructors reach out to them

Well then, some lucky person can own a piece of history. I have a copy in NM condition. Would part with it for $1500.

    Super solid day at Rose.
Met up with Corky in the Slide lot.
Scored a $59 buddy ticket from an OG bump skier named Scotty.
Made some mid-morning laps with Corky and his lady.
Then ran into the enigmatic, elusive, and legendary Mighty Raccoon Face who immediately coerced me to swap skis with him and then we did an obligatory “figure out the new skis” run in the off piste between “Silver Dollar” and “Mine Train” before hitting “Hollywood Bowl.”
Soon joined forces with Thudder and he and I broke off and hit a coupla the Chutes (“Yellow Jacket” and “Nightmare”) and also scoped the boundary line of “Washoe Zephyr” before breaking to watch the pond skim.
Scored free lunch in the lot courtesy of The Prospector’s Club and then me and Thudder went back to The Chutes, first another “Yellow Jacket” run, then “El Cap” where TMRF and his posse joined us, and wound down on “Bee Hive” in search of the disco ball (which, sadly, was broken).
Thick, but mostly smoove spring condis all day.
I gotta say, even though I feel like a tourist/outsider when I visit Rose, I dig the terrain and the friendly vibe immensely.

The Sports Basement Ski Bus is still running to P-OV and KW, looking like two more weekends running. I've been on it for the last five weekends, BUT Saturday spring conditions at P-OV were ALL time !!! The friction in the corn made heroes! Not a long line all day. Props to the Mountain Management keeping the open and closed signs moving all day. for safety and snow preservation. I believe in the magic of spring skiing. Sacrilegious to say but I had more fun than on a P***** day.

Yeah, solid day at Rose yesterday. Although I did more drinking and hanging out than skiing. Felt like a few more melt/freeze cycles and the conditions will be perfect. That said, any beta on the High T at Alpine? What time is corn thirty been?

On the way up to Pyramid from Rocky Canyon. Could have skinned earlier, but much charcoal on the top of the snow.

Corn goodness right from the top of Pyramid. So filled in continued down to Gefo Lake, which made for about a 1K ft., of extra credit booting to get back up for an exit via Rocky. Totally worth it.

Sunday was more corn off of Janine's and S. Maggie. Had a positive response to a "change for a nickel" exchange upon showing up for a slacker start at the trail head, so I knew it was going to be really good. Nice to meet you 3-2-1.

^wtf is up with Tahoe City. The $5.69 at both stations hasn't moved at all this entire year. South Shore in the last month has moved from $4.89 down to $4.49 and back up to $4.89.
