Fiona busting up the coast after busting up Puerto Rico with average rainfall there of 15.8" and a high of well over 30". Waves are sick here today and building, expected to peak around 3:00 PM (and on an incoming tide). Should be interesting. I'll try yo get some decent pics.

Weird situation. Fiona seems to want to go to Greenland, wow. And Gaston seems to want to join Fiona. What happens then? Other storms going every which way, wtf. Although I'm fine with them not coming this way, don't get me wrong.

We've been pretty lucky the past couple years here, couple grazed the outer banks but nothing really bad since Matthew in 2016. Coast has been clipped a couple times a year since but could have been a lot worse.

Was just out at the beach, Big long period rollers for here (~5' and maybe 12-14 seconds). Not too dramatic, I didn't take any pics but I'll go back later on.

It's looking like Fiona is going to do it's best to fuck with Eastern Canada, they are saying I'll be the biggest storm to date.

Thing #1 is in Saint John, NB. Hopefully just a lot of rain and maybe loses power for a short while.

Tropical Tidbits is a good info source, the video here was just updated a half-hour ago (6:18 PM EDT), St. John looks to receive some real weather that 's for sure. I'm sure it'll be fine but it might be a bumpy ride for a while. Second segment of the video is Fiona-specific.

Still lots of room for the track to change but if it hits that inside corner of the coast N of Tampa there’s almost nothing on the coast. A lesson in how much less destructive hurricanes would be if we didn’t build on the coast…

Fiona is the third hurricane that I have gone through here in PR. Wind speed was much less than Irma and Maria, but it dumped a massive amount of water on the entire island, probably around 10 inches at my house and up to 30 inches in parts of southern PR. Just like as in the other two storms, the PR government and electrical grid not up to the task. Fortunately, I put solar panels on the house about two years ago. All survived intact. Still the aftermath of these storms is pure suckage. My trip to the states in October can't come soon enough.

I can't really imagine 30 inches of rain. Glad you got off a little easier and were prepared. Do you have storage for the solar or is it daytime only?
