Color me shocked: BYU Has A Racism Problem

Saw this over the weekend. Cliff note version: Duke v BYU Womens Volleyball. Only African American starter on Duke gets called the n-word by someone in the student section every time she serves. Allegedly threatened as well. NOBODY does shit until it goes viral…..BYU AD puts out lame statement after the publicity, then “addresses” students next night. Duke moves following match out of Provo, because, you know, racist fucks. Thoughts? I’d like to think if I was in a situation like that (Thing Two plays varsity VB), I’d have done SOMETHING to get whoever was responsible at least get kicked the fuck out….

I guess there is the option to walk off the court and refuse to play until that "unsafe environment" situation is resolved. The NCAA needs to step up and make it clear that visiting teams can do that without being forced to forfeit the game/match when it's chear this kind of shit is happening..

This shit happens at lots of venues. I was at a Hurricanes vs Predators game a couple years ago when P, K. Subban was playing for Nashville. Every time Subban touched the puck the arena erupted on BOOOOOOOO.. It was literally booing the only black guy on the ice. Pretty fucking embarrassing... The boos were far better than the racist shit other fuckers were yelling....

I've been to a Duke volleyball game. Those ladies are pure class. Very disappointing that this happened to them... in a venue where they could not avoid hearing that trashy shit being flung at them.

I'm not sure booing Subban is a racist thing. He's one of the most hated guys in the NHL unless he's on your team. Sure wish the Bruins would get him. Between him and Marchand, the B's would easily be the most hated team in the NHL. And they would be much better for it.

Oh I know it happens when a white guy on the visiting team is THAT good (or very dirty like Marchand) too.. Tom Wilson too. It's just the optics of it all since PK's black.. And some idiots were definitely yelling racist shit drowned out by the boos thankfully...
