Not if he just found out the rules of 180 days instead of a year on claiming tickets...

Unfortunately now with PayPal sending a 1099, I'm concerned I'll have to pay income tax on the ticket "sales". If we play a few games a year it will easily tally a few grand of "income". Sent my CPA a question about it didn't hear back yet. I might be able to put it in cost of goods sold but seems slightly sketchy. I'll probably have an answer today.

1099s are only issued for G&S payments, not F&F payments which is how everyone should be sending money.

my understanding is that the 1099 stuff only relates to using "goods and services", not "friends and family": https://www.paypal.com/va/cshelp/art...he-irs-help543

This new Threshold Change is only for payments received for goods and services transactions, so this doesn’t include things like paying your family or friends back using PayPal for dinner, gifts, shared trips, etc.

Thanks Dan and Dan, I'll check into that. I didn't pay attention to how the funds were coming in, cause I was only focused on the jillion dollar funds.

They should have all come in as F&F, otherwise Paypal would have been extracting fees and you would not have received the full $2. It would have been fairly obvious fairly quickly.

I’m still down to buy the 1/2 scale Wall of Sound and build a venue around it while ticketchecker manages it for me.

So who do I send #2 to?
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

LMAO. Speak for yourself. All here are welcome to my next real estate acquisition, Mag Mountain. Think of it as the dirtbag version of the Yellowstone Club. I'll have a fleet of RS6 Avants as the shuttle service. Hosting all future BBIs there, of course. Now to start scoping out potential sites!

Alright I'm kinda wavering as you can tell but let's fire this up for previous players only on this particular game.

Friends and family duckets to PayPal, $2 for one line, only option.

Cutoff is 2pm mountain time tomorrow, Saturday July 15.

    870 mil on the line.

Disclaimer, I consulted with a dentist not currently licenced to yank teeth in my state, and confirmed my suspicion that creating a new company and disbursements would probably be the way to handle this without me paying tax on the 870mm. I figure that's gonna take a couple months, so no whining if you don't get your duckets the week after we win.

    Tally ho.
