What I mean is I get a lot more fucked up number combos that have little chance of winning (IMO) the later I buy them before the drawing. I seem to get better tickets that win a little when I buy on the 1st day of sale rather than a few hours before the drawing.

I dunno. If I had gotten the number sequence 7, 13, 14, 15, 18 + 9, I would've surely thought that wouldn't be "random" enough with that sequential little set there, but alas. That's what hit. There seems to be a LOT of big winners that have numbers that aren't spread out much. Man. All 5 numbers plus the ball within 11 points of each other. That's wild, statistically speaking. But then again, like CS said, everything is technically as likely as another, even 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.
