Jesus Christ these Corvus edges came so sharp! What’s the usual detune spot?
I took a file and then a stone to the entire splayed part tip and tail, not much.

I ground and tuned mine. To just as sharp as they were or sharper. Leave them be and ski them.
Do you have much time on the 190cm Bibby Pros/heavier Wildcats and if so, how would you say them compare in dampness and turnability in tight spaces and trees? On paper the new Noctas look very interesting as I need some camber to give a little suspension for my fused ankle (no ankle joint and zero dorsiflexion). I love the Bibbys in open spaces but wouldn't mind a little more nimbleness in tight trees.
Yes I have a good amount of time on the lighter and heavier kitties. The nocta definitely does not have the chop straight lining ability of the wildcat. But it’s quicker/looser and less demanding, especially at lower speeds. The issue I always had with the wildcat is I felt it lacked the float of many other 116-118 skis. The float isn’t really even comparable with the nocta.
I ended up looking at the Atris and the nocta as skis with more flex that would be more forgiving on my back. This has definitely been the case. I’ve loved both of them so far.
I have some B115 Pivot 12s around if you’re in need…

Where did you mount? I could be interested, however I don't know if I want the longer version.
3rd tour this year on my Corvus FB with MTNs, and I'm sinking. Even 2/3 back from the trail breaker I'm punching through 12-18" of snow. Floatation in the pow is pretty trash as well. Any ideas? I'm riding the 188, am 225lbs/6'2.
The ski faster part doesn't really help on the up hill portion lol. But I know what you mean. I can handle the Corvus downhill enough, just the uphill being a significant portion of the trip. Given that I don't tour for anything other than pow I might look into the Ferox or a 190 Nocta if I can find it.

not a bad deal for brand new 190s (albeit prior year topsheet)
Has anyone mounted the Corvus freebird forward of the recommended line with good results? Wondering how it would ski at +2, putting the bsl around -8 instead of -10.
3 Corvus's, 3 different camber profiles. It is a lot more noticeable in person but check how they all have more camber below the tip and then come in towards the tips. The left one Black Crows said looked faulty and warrantied, middle is the warranty replacement and right one is from a shop. Does anyone know what it should look like? Which would you choose?

I noticed this the other day too...my pair that I love are more like the middle shot, but in the shop the other day I was eyeing off a shorter length to compliment my 183cm pair, and I'd say the shop pair looked more like the pic on the looker's right...noticably more reverse in both tip and tail. I've been happy on my pair...curious to hear if other people have input, or we are over-analysing a non-issue
Mounted on the line for a 297 bsl

I actually just remounted mine a bit forward of the line and like them quite a bit more than where they were prior, which was behind the line. For context: I bought them from a guy with much smaller feet than me, but there was enough range in the heel piece to accommodate my boot size. Skied them that way for a year or so, and kinda struggled to really initiate turns and ski them in funky snow. After reading a few threads about mount point on here, and having a look at where my Atris are mounted (same-ish size ski, mount further forward) I decided to try moving my mount forward ~15-20mm or so. So now I'm somewhere between +5-10mm or thereabouts from the line and am MUCH happier with how they ski. A bit surfier, easier for me to initiate the turn and get the tails around, but still good float and I don't feel like the tips are gonna dive.
For reference 6'2" ~200lbs and skiing the 183.
What's the Ferox review? Looking first touring ski for the Wasatch.
Sidenote: The Mirus cor is the most fun I have ever had on groomers. I was audibly laughing for the first couple runs!
