Some 90s songs still rock as hard as they did the day they were released

    Dude.

Ok Computer was 97. Objectively a great album.

Subjectively one of the best alternative albums ever made.

“seven legendary albums all released during 44 days in 1991. What’s more, the last three albums debuted on the same day!

    Metallica, Metallica
    Pearl Jam, Ten
Guns N’ Roses, Use Your Illusion I
Guns N’ Roses, Use Your Illusion II
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blood Sugar Sex Magik
    Soundgarden, Badmotorfinger
    Nirvana, Nevermind”

I was more in to Toadies and Tripping Daisy for alternative in the 90s. Radiohead just didn't strike a chord with me.

    Hell. Yes.

I’m going to see those May-retta Georgia boys over in Chas, SC this weekend.

    That’s awesome.

I see Chris Robinson in town here about once every 3 years or so. Once when he was with Kate Hudson getting a latte. Dude makes heroin chic look thin.

Last time I saw them live was when they opened for the Stones. I’m sad Steve Gorman, the most sane member of the band, hasn’t been brought back, but hey.

I didn't get turned onto TDHOHH until later in the decade when I heard and learned about Spearhead when Chocolate Supa Highway was released.

RHCP is like Aerosmith. Popular stadium band generic sing-along stuff that was better when they were strung out on heroin.
No Doubt was fun. That’s about all they were going fun. Still fun if you can forget you’re sick of hearing it.

    Weezer is useless.

But Sublime. Back off. That’s good shit and will always be good shit.

Weezer's first album was good. Had they not become the embarrassing self-parody they've been for two decades, it would stand on its own pretty well.

A weak song. But awesome video.

Hash pipe is good rock. But not the first album.
    Fuck. It’s banned from YouTube’s.
    Sumo wrestler? Wtf?

That song reminds me of good times on Maui.
    And it still rocks

    I concur.

Also, Sublime is still great; they just found their way back on to my playlist with a few cuts.

Keanu Reeves hasn’t been mentioned yet. Breakout movie Bill & Ted was 2/1989 but 90s movies include Point Break, Bogus Journey, Speed, Johnny Mnemonic, and the Matrix.

Also a fact that blew my mind yesterday was that Weezer’s first show was in 1992, and that night they did the late-night closing set after headliner Dogstar. Dogstar of course is Keanu Reeves’ band.

Point Break is an outstanding movie. RIP Swayze.

    Swayze is dead?

At least he’s still doing pottery on the wheel. RIP.

Point break and the matrix are the only Keanu movies I can watch. Ever.
