Mark your calendars, the NFL just announced the NFL Hall of Fame Game (preseason) will be played between your Cleveland Browns (thanks Joe Thomas) and your New York Jets.

    Place your bets now.

I bet not even the fans of those teams really care about the HoF game

Come on man...both teams each have at least a slight chance at winning this one.

Can you tie in the preseason? Cause that would be fitting.

Didn't they spray a bunch of the wrong kind of field paint on it one year and they had to cancel it?

That could happen again I guess.

    * I said slight. Endless possibilities on why either won't win.

For Joe Thomas' sake, let's hope not. But in all honesty, that's not a bad rebuilding strategy.

Good point. How many compensatory picks do you think an asteroid gets you?

Couldn't be worse than the 1999 expansion draft. We get the reanimated corpse of Tim Couch and after that all bets are off.

Chatter out of Baltimore is that they work a trade for Lamar, maybe as early as the Combine. AFC North rejoices.

    2 #1s and?

From what this particular Baltimore radio guy was saying, the Lamar fatigue is at its peak both among the fans and inside the building. He noted as you point out, that he has finished the last two seasons on the bench, and hasn't really shown that MVP level of consistency that he did in 2019 (a long time ago in NFL years) and that the thinking is, if the relationship is soured, why not sell now while his value is as high as its going to get?

Arthur Blank in Atlanta, who missed out on Deshaun Watson, will gladly open up the Home Depot coffers for a franchise QB to try and get him a Super Bowl before he leaves this earth.

Dolphins and Jets were the other two potential landing spots mentioned.

The time is right for Baltimore if they want to unload Lamar, they have some really good running backs and a tight end a rookie QB can lean on while he gets his chops. Use the draft capital to get the WR they need and it could lead to something really good.

The documents obtained by ESPN show that minority partners Robert Rothman, Dwight Schar and Frederick W. Smith protested the loan after they discovered it in a financial report's fine print. They then started looking closely into the team's finances and found Snyder was using the team as his "personal piggy bank," including charging the team $4.5 million to put its logo on his private jet, they alleged in the arbitration petition filed with the NFL. …
When Rothman complained that the team's board had not met in years, Snyder responded, "What the f--- do I need a board meeting for?" according to the documents.

Carr signs with NO in first FA move. Who gets the honor on starting the 23/24 thread?

Baltimore tags Lamar with the non-exclusive franchise tag setting up his potential exit from the ravens.

AA Ron meeting with the Jets tomorrow.

    Here’s hoping for total chaos.

First date with the Jets went so well they are flying to GB to see him in person.

I am trying so hard not to get my hopes up for the Rodgers to the Jets trade.
