Blurb from the Power Rankings article in The Athletic (apologies Viks fans, it amused me…)

    8. Minnesota Vikings (13-4)

    (Preseason rank: 16)

Prepare yourself for the inevitability of the Vikings’ playoff run. They’re going to beat the Giants at home Sunday by one point when Greg Joseph nails a 62-yarder as time expires. Then they’re going to travel to San Francisco and win by four points when Brandon Aiyuk fumbles the ball out of the back of the end zone when trying to stretch to the goal line for the game-winning touchdown. Then they’re going to beat the Cowboys in the NFC Championship Game when Dak Prescott kneels at the 5-yard line to set up the game-winning field goal, only to realize Mike McCarthy forgot the team had run out of timeouts. Then they’re going to lose in the Super Bowl by 45 points.

Just saw a crazy stat about Purdy. He will be the lowest drafted rookie QB to ever start a playoff game. By 110 picks.

That's awesome but Kurt Warner was undrafted and won the Superbowl.

I'm hoping BP262 wins it all.

sure, but Warner wasn't a rookie.

Cute that they think the Cowboys will win two playoff games.

He also ended up leading the league in passer rating. Only 6 games, but still impressive.

Lance got hurt in the first game of the season in monsoon conditions in Chicago - not much of a sample size. Jimmy, on the other hand, also played well after his first start when he was still getting settled in and just getting some first team reps. He finished third overall in passer rating with 103 - very solid. He's going to get paid this off season by some team for sure. I think he'd be a good fit in Las Vegas with Adams and Waller and Renfro as targets.

Given his history he'll definitely make an appearance at the Adult Film Awards.

I think it also says a lot about CMC, who BP262 had for all his games. CMC is like a black hole for defenses, pulling defenders towards him and opening up the field. I think Kittle benefitted, too. He started the season as an extra blocker but as soon as CMC showed up, Kittle took off.

It’s kind of interesting to me that this man, who could bang almost any woman on earth, chooses the hookers. Cool.

    Tua out vs Buffalo.

Miami should definitely be taking a good look at Jimmy G.

Why, he is always hurt too?
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Skylar Thompson coming to town. Somehow the Bills will still manage to make this exciting.

Running him out two weeks in a row with a concussion and then not pulling him when he gets hit again is not really Tua’s fault.

Speaking of damaged QBs, you have to think that Lamar Jackson just might be regretting not signing that massive deal before the season started. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Baltimore moves on from him this offseason if he doesn't accept whatever offer they make him once their season has ended.

Which, at least according to the Baltimore radio guy who was on the elevator TV this morning, could mean that Lamar ends up in Charlotte or Atlanta and Baltimore could entertain a year of Baker Mayfield until they get in the Caleb Williams draft sweepstakes.
I still call it The Jake.

No way does Baltimore let Lamar walk. Not a chance. They will franchise him before that happens.

The upcoming 2023 draft is loaded with running backs who could replace Lamar.

You don't give up a QB for nothing. As they retain his rights through the tag, he's staying put or being traded for 3+ 1sts

He wanted to bet on himself, and decided against retaining an agent. That's his call, but it's pennywise and pound foolish.

No one wanted Jimmy G last year. I don't see that changing in favor a big money deal. He and Purdy are more compatible but what do you do with Lance. Either way 49ers have options and a ham sandwich could do well qb that offense.
