    2 fumble recoveries led to 14 points for KC. If the eagles cleaned that up, there'd be no issue in a late holding call

    The ending was enough to make you hurl your snacks.
    Relatively low post count.

    It has nothing to do with SF. Philly fans are the worst.

    Yeah we're horrible....great year, hopefully a better defense and coaching next season. Hated the DC.
    Out coached across the board.

    Also....put this game on a Saturday already....more time to destroy the city.

    JHC, can they get rid of kickoffs? Just put the ball on the 25.

    Heh. Not one risk of a run return. I noticed that.

    As for the last two minutes it was boring. You might fight about the holding call. But after that it was boring play clock management. Chiefs had a touchdown but the smart guy skidded short. Wow.

    I was nervous for the kicker after that first half gong off the upright. Ooof

    When did the NFL do away with the uncatchable ball rule? It sure looked like the ball landed 10-15 yrds away, no way he was going to catch it.

    Call should not have mattered as PHI D sucked in the 2nd 1/2, allowing those 2 untouched TDs on back to back series, WTF? The pregnant singer could have made those throws.

    What was up with that last Hail Mary pass? Looked bad coming off Hurts' hand and was only about 30 yard short.

    I have no idea about the uncatchable ball rule, but it wasn't a pass interference call, it was defensive holding prior to the throw. That would theoretically be called anywhere on the field and has no relation to the thrown ball.

    Not that SF would have won the NFCC with no QB, but that game woulda been far more interesting (and far less frustrating for niners fans) if not for the similarly questionable defensive holding calls (while the refs were ignoring rampant offensive holding) that kept Iggles drives going on 3rd-and-longs.

    So it's a bit of poetic justice.

    Eagles lost because Gannon's shit soft zone defense doesn't work against elite QBs who get the ball out quick and can find the many open holes in the D. His whole bend but don't break style gives up too many easy completions in the short to intermediate passing game, hoping that after enough time a sack or other mistake will stop the drive. When it was clear that the edge rush couldnt get pressure from a combo of great Chiefs O line play , and deplorable field conditions (there is a clip where both eagles DEs go down as they turn the corner on the tackles ), they needed to try something different, which Gannon is incapable of. The last flag was just the icing on top , but if I was a neutral fan, I'd be more pissed at the flag for sucking the drama out of the ending.

    Here's what happened:

    Mahomes works for the NFL;
    Mahomes also works for State Farm;
    The SB was played at State Farm Stadium;
    State Farm is NFL's $$$$$$ bag.

    It was a work!!!!

    Also:
    Chiefs: RED.
    State Farm: RED!

    Does anything get more obvious?!?!?!?!?!?!?
    It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

    I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

    And red was the ripping wax of the day yesterday....just sayin'.

    It did look like the Chiefs had the advantage towards the end. Right or wrong, the penalty may not have changed the outcome. (It (among others) probably could have been called other times during the game.) But, it sure was disappointing and did take the drama out of the end of the game and left a bad taste and cloud over the finish to a decent contest.
    Best regards, Terry

    This. Would have loved the Eagles to get the ball back with a minute left to try and tie the game with a FG, or win. Instead, they take a couple knees and that's that.

    Not many professional sports scenarios I can think of where a ref can basically end the game by making a call.
