I’ve been skiing 184 V Werks Katanas and 184 M4 Mantras, which cover the range of conditions I typically ski. Was thinking of adding some Kendo 88s, but just got an incredibly good deal on some 184 M6 Mantras, which will presumably replace my M4s. Hoping they’ll do everything my M4s can in variable low tide off-piste, while adding a bit of zippy de do dah to my groomer skiing, and more separation from my VW Katanas.

Interesting fer sure. Wonder if they've hung on to the current flex pattern with stiffish front and rears and softer under foot. Any beta available on that?

Also def no Anima tails on those, way less tail splay than the BC's. If Völkl kept flex pattern per the above, not reversed as per BC, it would definetely make for an interesting ski to try.

That new Blaze 114 looks dope as fuck. Very HL113 with a lighter core.

I don’t know the weights yet. But something tells me for resort I’d rather be on a full wood/rubber FL113.

But I’ll be damned if that Blaze 114 with a touring binding (and no carbon in the ski) isn’t appealing as all hell.

I think you're taking my words a bit too on the nose. Rearward mount, semitwinned, heavy, ~115mm. It fits the same spot of the quiver and the mount alone would make it very dissimilar to the other revolt widths. Still needa fondle of em.

Bit like the "shoulda called it a mantra 108" piss-takes we had earlier don't ya think?

The mount on the R114 is about -2.5-3 from the mount on the R121. These definitely have stiffer tails than the other Revolts.

I mounted mine on the line and they are still farther back than my by a shade on my R121. I will try to get a side with my R121.

    Fondled blaze 114..

Pretty round 7-9.5-8 type of flex, almost non-existent camber height, massive tip is massive.

..and fuckloads of very shallow rocker.

The ~1mm of camber makes it about 10cm past the binding plate's ends before it turns over; had to guess just under 2/1 feet of tip/tail rocker on the 184. Only the last 10cm of the tip splays further than about 1cm.

    Very interested now..

    ^^^ 1mm of camber?

The pic posted above looks like way more than 1mm.

I'd prefer 1mm but that's not what it looks like above.

Typically ski 188+ skis but none with Metal (QSTs) - looking to use this as a lower snow ripper, fresh days will be well covered by my blanks. Need someone to tell me to either man up and go with the 191s or STFU and stick to the 184s
I’m 6 2 and 210. 184 works very well and i didn’t see any benefit when I tried the 191. With mount point far back I didn’t love the tips so far away. I haven’t tried the qst but love other skis in 190ish length with more progressive mount points (wildcat, mfree) and wouldn’t consider sizing down on those. M102 just doesn’t need the extra length like others for me at least.

Some approximate stats for the 191 R114s. Seems like the mount point is around -7.75 from true center. I measured very quickly so might have been a bit off, could be a bit closer to -7. Also weighed them on a scale and they come in around 2450g. The scale also wasn’t very precise so could definitely be +/- 100g from there.

I should have clarified, I am on the 184 in both 114 and 121.

Two days on my Revolt 114 184. Groomers and 4-8” fresh off piste. Will likely replace my K108 in anything soft. More nimble, but plenty stable and damp. Mounted on the line.

Had my first day on Revolt 121 in 191. Soli reported 30" in 48 hours, some terrain just opened after the initial storm. I must say I like them better than Nocta 190 in similar conditions. Might be due to Tectons on Nocta and Griffons on Revolts. Not scary on the groomers, mounted at -2.5 from recommended and doesn't feel like I'm too forward

for those who feel they missed out on BMT122s and want something that is both more potent in variable and better on groomers, but still retains a lot of the characteristics that make BMT122s so grear -> K2 Dispatch 120s.

BMT122s are even looser and floats slightly better, but man D120s are fun.

Thanks for the insight bud. Went and pulled the trigger on the 191 gen2s last week - will report back once I’ve had a chance to get out on them!
