I'm guessing that Trump would then drag us out of NATO.

Yep. He pushed the right buttons to get someone to vocalize this thought and now he has the ammo he needs to start making that happen.

Note that Maxar is a private (but US) company:

Maxar has cut off satellite imagery access to Ukraine, undoubtedly due to pressure from the U.S. government.

This means that not just classified, but commercially available unclassified intelligence products are being cut off.

I now fully expect Starlink to be next.

Ragarding sanctioning Ukraine, I'm being a bit hyperbolic, but it appears we're blocking them from accessing US private industry.

Regarding liftin sanction on Russia: https://www.reuters.com/world/white-...ay-2025-03-03/

But.... and hour or two ago Trump apparently said he's going to really ramp up sanctions on Russia, so who the fuck knows. THE ART OF THE DEAL!

Saying one thing and doing another? That would be UNPRECEDENTED for Trump.

Denmark has donated 19 of the F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, and now Trump has ordered an end to US support for their onboard jamming equipment, thereby helping Putin destroy this USD 291,000,000 donation.

This US administration is an enemy of Europe.

I hate what Trump is doing in concert with Russia more than I can possibly express.

The transparency of what they are doing is astounding. Pull US aid and intelligence while Russia bombs the shit out of Ukraine to force them to surrender.

It's really quite shocking. The disregard for a sovereign nation and its citizens is mind boggling.

    Fuck them both.

It's treason. It's obvious. Will anyone do anything? At some point he has to be charged with it. I'm hopeful the general staff in the military will stand with the Constitution when push comes to shove but I dunno.

That is beyong stupid! Demand for electronic weapon systems and related services from Lockheed Martin, Boeing, General Dynamics, and Northrop Grumman is going to decline. One would expect gradual shitf towards Dassault Aviation, Saab and Airbus.

Yes, a majority of Americans voted to become a fiefdom of Russia with Trump acting to dismantle any capacity to resist Putin's bid for global supremacy. We have become a third world country. Russia and China are the tops now.

Donald Trump is many things, mostly bad, and I'm certain by now that he doesn't care a whole lot about Ukraine.

But he's definitely not a Russian agent.

Been interesting trying to figure out his motivations these past couple of months, and a bigger picture is emerging. Dunno what it means yet. Probably not so good.

And I don't see Ukraine giving up. This isn't the first or even second time the U.S. has fucked her over. In the event that Trump actually reverse all sanctions on Putin, well, that would change things.

I don’t believe you can say he is definitely not a Russian agent when the facts show that he has done everything a Russian agent would do. It’s hard to come up with anything a Russian agent would do differently

He is a simpleton driven by ego though so it’s not too late for him to flip flop again given the right amt of smoke applied to his ass.

I don’t believe Ukraine will throw in the towel anytime soon and hopefully Europe and others can keep them supplied in our absence

Prompt: Can you give numeric value to the probability of Trump being a Russian asset?

    <ChatGPT clarifying questions?>

Prompt: Statistical probability based on his recent policy

    ChatGPT 4o-mini (Deep research enabled):

<a lot of text leading to the conclusion/>

    Conclusion

In summary, many of Trump’s noteworthy policies dovetailed with Moscow’s strategic interests, and this alignment was far from coincidental. Based on expert analysis, declassified intelligence, and quantitative signs of influence, it appears highly probable that Russian influence operations achieved some of their desired effect in shaping U.S. policy during Trump’s tenure. We can quantitatively infer a significant probability (well over 50%) of foreign influence at play, though the exact degree remains uncertain. Crucially, even a moderate influence can have outsized effects: slight shifts in Trump’s approach (e.g. sowing doubt about NATO or delaying aid to Ukraine) yielded substantial strategic gains for Russia.

Going forward, analysts stress the importance of resilience against such influence. The Trump case underscores how a combination of personal affinity, political bargaining, and external manipulation can realign U.S. foreign policy in ways that mirror an adversary’s wishlist. Any probability estimate must be taken with caution, but the preponderance of evidence suggests that Trump’s presidency was, in effect, a boon for Russian strategic objectives – a result that intelligence officials and statisticians would argue is very unlikely to be mere accident?

All conclusions are drawn with acknowledgment of uncertainties and the inherent challenges of proving causation in foreign influence.

In the last 12 months, ukraime has shown it is highly unlikely, or will require a lot more, mostly men, to turn the lines back again in the right direction.

You sent them all the junk we have, they have a manpower problem, there is a big, big decision coming down the road somewhere, and kicking the can down the road any further, with people dying, if we’re not ready to send soldiers, actually risks the 80% left and could create an even more difficult situation.

At least Europe woke up trump is clearly taking us out of nato and Greenland, Canada is apart of whatever missile defense, that’s coming.

But trump, derangement syndrome could take us all out at any minute, so this is a nail bitter.

The TDS in here is off the charts. Yall would rather have thermonuclear war end the planet than a Trump peace deal.
