Remind me again the serious journalism Tucker has done? He's always been a know-nothing talking head. I'd also say "providing airtime and audience to an internationally sanctioned leader in the middle of a war" is a little different than the situations the other journo's had.

I don’t know shit about him, other than he’s a trust fund and conservative. I’ve never watched him longer than 2 min, I shut off all msm news 6 yrs ago. And I was a cnn guy before. I am reading everyone’s comments and believe some of it.

But the bottom line is, stop telling people what to do, or think. It doesn’t matter what issue it is, it’s the same over, and over again. Censoring twitter, Fb all that won’t work, you can’t stop it. Adapt. MSM is in its death throes, the govt has lost control, the jury IS still out for me wether any of it is a good idea, but blame Al gore for inventing the internet, or the founding fathers.

I’m a regular dude, I think of the statues in my families home town where the entire village losts its men at the Somme, or Passcendaeoe, and I wish they knew what they getting into.

Is information good or bad? Can we let the average moron think for himself? I’m not positive, to be honest, but how do we strangle and censor anything now?
    Interesting times.

Lol, what are you talking about. I'm not inclined to give someone who willfully lies (Putin or Tucker, take your pick) airtime or attention. That deserves to be discriminated against as the twisting of information is what got us to our level of polarization in the first place.
The collapse of the fourth estate started with Reagan acing the fairness doctrine and the internet pounded some of the final nails.
We have to speak out as generally the older people are, the more susceptible they are to this misinformation as they grew up generally trusting news.
We should not be out here encouraging softball handling of war criminals. If you disagree, that's fine, but those same people you celebrate for those statues fought and died to keep people like Putin from further power.

I want Tucker to pull out putins master plan/end game. What does he really want? Is he truly an expansionist? Or is he looking for a peace deal if Ukraine doesn’t join NATO? If he keeps Crimea etc. If we’ve been ignoring talks for peace, the west has the blood on their hands. Are we being kept in the dark/misled to serve the interests of the military industrial complex?

I don’t care what a bunch of fellow TGR stoners think he wants. I wanna hear from Putin himself. Time will only tell and at least Tucker is making an effort to go to the source.

No one’s forcing you to watch. Stop worrying about other people. And I already said there better not be any softballs.

I want to hear it. And you, and the page 3 wanker, can’t stop me from watching.

“I’d like to tune in to watch two guys who lie about everything, all the time, so I can understand their true motivations, views, and plans.”

Nope, don’t see any issue with that strategy.

Honestly it baffles me why you guys continue to engage these morans. Who gives a shit what Cono or xyv or Rod or any of these ridiculous turds have to say and why on earth would you spend any time at all trying to convince them of the error of their ways? It's unpossible. Every discussion gets derailed into this shit, you'd think you guys could see their game working, it's not complicated.

You think Tucker is going to be the one to make Putin tell some different truth? He has laid out his expansionist plans at length. Might he accept something less, maybe, but do we want to reward his aggression? FUCK. NO.

This part is not rocket surgery. But I'm sure you'll get a pro-Russian alternate reality from the interview if that is what you seek.

If we’ve been ignoring talks for peace, the west has the blood on their hands.
Russia has been begging for peace, secretly, and nobody has been listening, and Tucker is gonna blow it wiiiiiiiiiide open, Putin speaking truth!

    Are you for fucking real?

And also, Ukraine decides if it wants to surrender, not the "west."

Putin can have peace any time he wants to withdraw from Ukraine. He is the one who invaded, the one with blood on his hands.

Are we being kept in the dark/misled to serve the interests of the military industrial complex?
Now see? This is exactly the type of thing I expect an honorable journalist like Tucker to pull out of a genuine arbiter of truth like Putin.

That screaming was my tongue punching straight through my cheek.

Astonishing anyone thinks anything other than agitprop & propaganda will come out of this. As far as making an effort reporting from Russia, American journalists Alsu Kurmasheva and Evan Gershkovich along with hundred of independent Russian journalists are in Russian prison *right now* or have been forced to flee the country for the crime of objectively reporting the news.

The only good Tucker might possibly achieve by presenting himself on a silver platter to the Kremlin with his softball Putin interview is asking for the release of American journalists who were actually reporting from Moscow.

Tell Putin to free the American hostages:

Because without it, their comments stand on their own, unchallenged. How we got here was by politely letting people rant their crazy shit.

Speaking of lies. Didn’t we promise Russia not to expand NATO an inch to the east in 1992 and by 1997 we expanded 1000 miles east taking 15 countries with it?

No, those promises were never made. Gorbachev was quite clear on that fact. NATO never "expanded" either. NATO is a defensive alliance that poses zero threat to Russia. Like Ukraine today, Poland and other former occupied by Russia Eastern European countries begged to join the alliance — we now know with good reason — while Western Europe and America dragged its feet before finally letting them join.

    From Tucker's Putin interview

"Didn’t the US promise Russia not to expand NATO an inch to the east in 1992 and by 1997 we expanded 1000 miles east taking 15 countries with it? I don't know. Do you? Does anybody really know? "

We do know. Gorbachev himself said former USSR countries joining NATO was a violation of the spirit of the assurances given Moscow in 1990, but he made clear there was no promise regarding broader membership. Putin's alleged "promises" are anti-NATO Kremlin propaganda.

Prior to Russia's illegal occupation of Crimea in 2014 "there was virtually no stationing of any NATO combat forces on the territory of new members. Since [then] NATO has increased the presence of its military forces in the Baltic region and Central Europe."

The truth is, Russia drew first blood by invading peaceful neighbors.

Well, yeah, but he said it in Russian and when Tucker talks to him it will be in English.

Putin can just tell nice little scripted lies to the guy who lies for a living and we can all ignore it for what it is.

A waif in underwear. Tucker's visit to Moscow isn't even primarily intended for a Western audience. It's mainly about promoting Putin in Russia, to Russians. It's a propaganda technique. Showcasing pro-Russian washed Western celebrities, like Steven Seagal & Tucker & The Apprentice era Trump, helps legitimize Kremlin lies. That's why they repeatedly use so much footage of Tucker Carlson on Russian TV.

It should be obvious to anyone why having a self-described American patriot take Russia's side, despite not so peaceful Kremlin threats to turn America into a radioactive wasteland, is so useful to Putin.
