    In my experience absolutely a thinner layer holds up better. It will be less tolerant to poor handling and not drying them out adequately after each tour. But if you are treating your skins the way you should less glue is actually going to hold up better. Not to mention transitions are going to be easier as they will rip without any extra effort.

    @Sargentdrufus, if you're doing that many reglues definitely get a respirator!
