OnX Backcountry vs. OnX Hunt
Been using OnX Hunt for years. Curious who has both and if there is really much more in OnX Backcountry that's ski specific for bc/touring use. Thanks.
I did a trial for a trail run in the backcountry. Compared to Gaia which is my currently mapping app, I couldn’t find an obvious advantage. I don’t think the fidelity of the slope angle shading is any better, and both have many map options for overlays. If I’m concerned about avalanches, the forecast overlay doesn’t provide any real information. I didn’t do an deep dive comparison besides initial usability. I’d be curious of one app or the other conserves battery life more efficiently.

I have found with OnX hunt that the topo grading is largely useless. "Oh this drainage might be a good way down....topo shows it's mellow...." Turns out to be like 45 degree loose hell stuff.
