splitboard: help sizing Spark bindings (and skins?)

    Hi everyone
    I wear softboots Northwave Domain 28.5 (mondo)/43.5 (eur)/10.5 (USA).

Which size would you recommend for Spark R&D Arc or Surge bindings? I fear the Medium might be "right there" with little room for further tightening or little strap for handling. Also, i fear the Large might be too much.
I intend to use them on a Jones Solution 161.
Any hint and recommendation is highly appreciated. thank you in advance

since you are there, if you throw in any suggestion on which skin (brand and model, G3 or else) it would be great

Per Spark you are just under the line between size medium and size large. I don't know the Northwave lineup any more but if the boots are normal or shorter than normal you should stick with medium but if they are longer than normal you should bump up to large. I say this because of both the binding fit and the impact on touring if your toes overhang the pivot point. You want the bindings to fit close without discomfort because any extra play between the boots and bindings will result in damage to the boots. You want to avoid the boots sticking past the pivot point when you're touring because it will limit your range of motion/length of stride.

I've been using the BD GlideLite splitboard skins for a few years now and have had ok luck with them. They leave a little bit of glue residue on my base regardless of my wax condition but they've held up well for several seasons and the glue has been consistent. The tail clip is good for standard snowboard shapes. I would avoid G3 since they seem to have consistently bad glue. Pomoca seems to have consistently good glue and good fur so that's always a safe recommendation but I don't have any first hand experience with fitting them to a splitboard. The Sparks tail clips work well if you don't have any luck sourcing splitboard specific skins locally.

    I hope this helps.
