Maybe we're all existing in the background of a Beyonce music video, just kinda skiing around.

Is it any wonder why this guy has no close personal relationships?

Thank gawd for utoob replays. I've turned on the live stuff a couple times, but it's quite painful to watch this coverage.

I'll bet you've been snuggled into the couch with your boyfriends drinking white wine and just enraptured by the skating. So sad it's only on every four years! Somebody hand him a tissue.

It’s usually the homophobes that want all the dicks in their mouth. Just saying. Bless your heart.

Haven't been paying attention. Is Snoop and Kevin Hart doing olympic commentary again? That's what is really worth watching.
Wait, how can we trust this guy^^^ He's clearly not DJSapp

It’s Stanford. You’ve heard of it?

That should totally be legal, BTW. Evolution is.

And related to the China is an evil, brutal communist country thing, I keep reminding myself that until about a year ago it was pretty much kosher for cops to kill anyone with brown skin at the drop of a hat, and half of our elected national representatives are opposed to democracy if their side loses. Our footing on the high ground is super-shakey. I sleep well at night only because I know we've all converted to detachable straps.

I watch it because my wife watches it, but I find it fairly entertaining. I don't think they need a separate team event and individual events, but obviously it's popular and the more air time the more money advertisers are making.

Benny likes watching baseball players scratch balls and spit.

Love the skating. My mom was a professional.

My wife loves to watch the skaters, her mom was on the HS hockey (Canada, eh)team and the wife skated a lot on frozen ponds. It freaks me out when she SCREAMS!! in pain and shock anytime one of them slips onto the ice. I have to come in from the garage and make sure that she hasn't fallen and can't get up.

I’ve probably told this story before, but after open hockey in Salt Lake one time there was a practice sesh for the figure skating junior nationals.

I watched some teenage kid sending spinny airs and falling over and over again in a sweatsuit. Seeing the gnarliness of those crashes, no pads, no helmet, and the determination to get it right, and seeing it done in normal clothing instead of ridiculous costumes…I gained a lot of appreciation. I still don’t really watch it, but I don’t rip on it as much.

Wife said that the Mexican skater said he's taunted endlessly at and around the only place he has tp practice/skate.... the local mall ice rink. Has to use ear buds because they won't even give him private ice time skate the routines with his music over the venue PA speakers. I guess that's what Benny does when he goes to Mexico.. Heckles their male figure skater..

I might occasionally rip on the fruity culture around it, but I really admire the underlying athleticism.

Hey, I appreciate that it's hard, I just don't watch it. There's always better stuff on. But, I don't watch the NFL either. Maybe for the same reason. I can't stand the hysterical, moronic commentary.

Topical: Battle of the blades on CBC is great TV.
Especially the first few seasons when it was kinda new and nobody knew what to expect yet.

FYI, if you have an AmEx card, you may have a promo offer for Peacock: AmEx will cover $4.99 per month for 3 months.

I just signed up. Hoping for better coverage than NBC's prime time offerings.
