If the snow is crispy, start on the Eastside & work towards the West. If it's getting sucky head up the Summit. This week is a warm up so the whole mt will soft. Bring the Moments. 😉

So Bachelor getting a six pack. No, not beer, or abs but a replacement for Skyliner.

I guess these things take time\are on back order, but seems like they should be rushing this to replace it in time for next season, and not have to do repairs on the old one to be followed by the 6 pack the following season...?

Also, I wonder why Skyliner? Is it because the added capacity is more spread out being in the middle of the mountain? I've seen my share of lovely lines at Sky, but feels like Sunrise and Pine were in more need than Skyliner?

I would have gone with Pine for the Sixer. But it comes down to cost at the end of the day.

    Skyliner serves race teams, no?

I’m guessing Pine Marten is in line for a larger lift, but this one is the broken one of the moment.

Nice. Looking at that, other than Outback, it's the oldest quad. Given it's location, and outback having a bit of a backup with Northwest, I guess I can see the reasoning to go with Sky. Fingers crossed the repairs this summer hold next year until the new one comes.

With a new bull wheel the lift will be able to be sold as working.
The time lag to find out how bad the failure was seems odd, like they assumed it was a bearing and didn't do any inspection for a while

I wish they would replace Red Chair, so when Pine breaks down the entire ski area doesn't break down with it. Maybe that is what they could do with the old Sky Chair.

Equipment does fail & wear out but Powdr is always a day late & a dollar short when it comes to their paying customers. There should be a partial refund to pass holders. Besides they never really step up to the community. Ladies day, 2 for 1 day, milatary discounts, ect. They SUCK, there I said it.

Think that if Broke Chair butte had to pay yearly refunds on lifts that are down for the season... Maintenance will get their attention.

POWDR has a fairly captive clientele. They truly don't care about customer service. The only time of service that POWDR does pay for is lip service.

    Almost the weekend again...

Spent the last 3 weeks on a proper "Ikon kook" ski bender in Idaho and California. Holy shit.

Adrenaline pushed to the max till we woke up in full clarity and full funeral clothes in a dirty Motel 6 in the middle of Cowschwitz (the topic of several shocking vegan documentaries - Harris Ranch in Coalinga, CA).

What I thought was freeway noise was actually the horrible moo-ing of 100,000 cows crying out for mercy as they trudge to slaughter. I keep showering, but I can't get clean.

We finally just got back to Oregon. No accidents or injuries, thank God.

Just a big pile of work to catch up on now. Two more weeks till skateboarding competition season kicks off.

I'm a deep-fried lump in the bed, but OregonD is as spry as a spring chicken. It's no wonder why he's with a younger woman.

Anyways, see yall at Hood tomorrow!

Lotsa kooks at Mt Bachelor yesterday and today, or maybe that's normal, not from around here. Did find a decent corn harvest and some solitude on the backside and east off the top. QQ: does norwest corn up in the afternoon on the spring (I'm usually drinking beer by the time that would happen, but I'm curious)?
