If you look really close and can get through all the blower pow messing with the photo, there's a snowboarder in there somewhere. Really.

Many face shots were had. Best afternoon of not working I've had in a looooong time.

Fake news, correction: cold & waist deep in places, with a little bit of body in the snow to push back just the right amount

    Yesterday was really really great.

No lift lines, knee deep blower, all my stashes were untracked. Couldn't ask for anything better on a holiday.

Is that relevant enough for y'all?

Nice to see the stoke. I bet today is a beauty too.

In other news, not sure if it's old, but confirmed, Skyliner out for the season:

Still cannot help but wonder if preventive maintenance was to blame, or what the schedule for replacement is for these quads. Maybe it's not terrible news though as I bet it stays fresh for those that are good with a traverse to get back to an operational lift?

Ski bowl was sitting in a pretty little blue pearl yesterday. From the top of Tom Dick Peak, you could almost reach out and touch it

Cold af & Jerry ruled the day. Skied a 101mm waist ski and they were glorious. I'm out.

Look at you getting on “fat” skis.

Glad you had a great day!

Not to mention all chairs were running slow/intermittently after 1030.
Except NWX (which was OOC) and Summit that didn’t load butts
But it was still great to have another refresh

I live 15 miles as the crow flies from this spot (on east side of the mountains). Never felt any earth shaking in the 10 years I’ve been here. Our water comes from aquifers of snowmelt, and there’s not been any indication of disruption due to this flow.

Best science sez if there is an eruption it will create a cinder cone, and ash will not leave the wilderness area.

Lari, if you want something to be nervous about, there are fumaroles all over Mt Brokenchair. Holes form in the snow as the mountain vents, and people have been known to hit them & crash. I know of a couple underneath PMX near the top, and a bunch far skiers left of Flying Douchebag. Jonesy knows of more - he’s been around since the mountain stopped erupting.

20 plus years ago, I encountered a fumerole somewhere tween outback and the soon to be northwest. Close call to say the least.
