Should be fine. I'm sure nobody likes to ski anymore.

Very few people at Tline. It was pretty socked in. They're waiting like piranha for the storm.

A tiny bit of rain from 2-3, but precipitation has yet to hit

Yikes! Hopefully most of the tourons from Cali and WA are on their way home on Monday. But seems like no one works anymore.

Saw more Fast Track usage for the brief time I was up there this morning. On the 1st lap of the morning I had a Seattlite ask me if it was normal for it to be so uncrowded on a Sunday morning. I told him that if it had been sunny and the snow stake had 6" or more, there would have been a 30 minute wait. (Unless you did the Fast Tracks deal.)

Best lap was the Cone lap when the sun came out to grace my run of glory. A decent windblown few inches of untracked. And FWIW, I didn't hike the Cone, I boot packed it. Not that anyone cares.

My good deed of the day was helping a Mom's two kids get into their bindings. Now they know that snow accumulates on the bottoms of ski boots and scraping it off makes it so much easier to click in.

The Storm at Hood today was coming in in cells. Either snowing hard or not snowing at all, on/off every hour or two.

Looks like most people had a shitshow driving up there, a shitshow parking, 4 inches at opening bell, and a bitter storm cell that sent them home early into a shitshow commute down.

We rode during the twilight shift and had some fat turns. The real snow started around 3. It was coming in sideways at Timberline, and very few other people had the eggs or energy to face the evening storm.

I hiked up to Pine Marten Lodge on Saturday. I actually had several peeps give me a shout out. And one skier asked what the equipment I was using was called. I told him it's called torture equipment when you are not in shape. Sadly I am stuck in an office. They have no reverence for President's Day. But seeing those temps and wind speeds has me thinking that a good day in the office might...haha, almost said it, but I'd rather be freezing my butt off than typing from my At Work Office.

ETA: I don't see the Snow Stake Cam on Bachy website. Who kicked it over? I bet it's snowing 3" an hour, and no one wants that info to get out.

I might be there in about 90 minutes. But if not, I will be one day older when I do get there.

7.30a uphill on the S-curves below Govy: an Excursion pulling a trailer decided to come unglued

What was in the trailer you ask?

Well, after 15mins of just dead standstill while they got readjusted, we were able to move closer & look
