The Ski Bowl Radio station is SPANKIN. I'm dancing at grooving every time I pull up to the base

Based on the way some people load lifts around here, access might be hard!

All friendly resort, rivalry, ribbing aside, I hope you all find some soft turns wherever you decide to go. We are all due for them and have suffered long enough.

Also, Skibowl’s Outback might be really good and we sure don’t mind the extra company. Crowds have ben nil in the Upper Bowl especially on Sunday. For those who don’t know, Outback only opens on weekends while the daylight hours are still short. Should be some good areas to explore. If you haven’t done the Peak Hike on a Powder Day yet, put that on your Oregon skiing bucket list. Lots of fun! Also, the East traverse holds up pretty good due to low lighting and only a little skiing before dark.

    It’s a stingy 8-9 inches up here, but maybe I shouldn’t complain

^^^ ‘twas a solid day. One of the best of the season. Vibes to those who weren’t here yesterday or today, and more vibes to those who think they will get some nice turns off the groom tomorrow

I see the Bachelor point forecast Thursday and Friday calls for highs in mid to upper 40's.... does that translate to proper spring conditions by mid-morning or is that a horribly optimistic read of the point forecast. Going to be there with a few families of intermediates. thanks.

It doesn't hurt to be optimistic. Also Bachy owns lots of groomers, it'll be fine. Probably.

Depending on winds it should be comfortable skiing on the Eastside of the
Butte (Sunrise,Cloudchaser) speaking as a recreational intermediate skier. Check out Dilly dally alley. Tbs favorite run.

The combination of a full moon and semi-monthly five inch “dump” resulted in an epic shitshow at Mt B today.

The Gaper quotient was really high for a weekday. Meat gates abounded on the groom. OTG was variable - great snow in protected areas, otherwise pretty crunchy underneath

Stockli Stormrider 105s for the win today. If a Ferrari fucked a Freightliner this would be the offspring.

PSA - Hoodoo is selling their fleet of lightly used demo Stormriders in widths from 85mm to 105 for $400 with warden demo clamps.

People were lining up at 0915 for first tracks on Summit. Here’s the line at 1030

It opened at noon, just as I was leaving. Hope they had fun finding the wind transport.

Hopefully tomorrow will be less zany.

Oh yea, another PSA - if a patroller wants to load by themselves, with an empty chair in front of them and an empty behind, it’s because they are carrying explosives. State law.

Do you happen to know what lengths they are selling or have left? Might swing through this weekend.

thanks. Sorry in advance for bringing a small army to your hill this weekend. I'll be nursing a back recovery chilling with our grom armada, MSPs, blue helmet with a "listen to black sabbath" sticker. If you see me holler for change! right before you yell 'get outta the way beaters!'

Careful what you ask for! That Backward banana dude almost got into a fight in the early mhx lineup yesterday. I wouldn’t quite call yesterday a “pow day”, but plenty of the best skiers on the mountain thought it was, especially those who “got in line before you”, and decided to get physical. The banana fought back and still got on the chair before the best skiers on the mountain.

FYI I wasn’t in that lineup, he just told me about it.

Anyway my point is… get out of the way you beaters!

I was goofing for sure, I love ski bowl. I primarily ski at MHM but only because I'm able to ski mid-week. If I was having to ski weekends I would spend a lot more time at Skibowl.

Got some dust last night to go with the wind transport for another nice day at Mt Brokenchair. Crowds were lighter and less zany than yesterday

Stocklis rule in crud - stiff as a priest at boys choir practice.

Although Jonesy kept bitching about how much effort it takes to ski FIS slalom stock off groom.

It was a little breezy overnight, one result being a tree breaking off about 15’ up and falling across a run.

    Didn’t stop Jonesy though

Some miscreant vandalized the Fast Tracks sign at Mt Brokenchair this morning.
