Well, thanks to the OG instructor - and Tap’s photos - that got me into the OAS circus

I mean, who doesn’t want to hang with stylin’ guys like the one on the right?

Only reason he retired was helmets became mandatory and he didn’t want to mess up his hair!

Too late for helmets. Permanent damage has already been done. The next 2 days of bucket assist should take some starch out of you.

I bought some "skinny" ski's in hopes it would trigger a pow cycle and I would have no reason to ski them. It hasn't seemed to work. Might need to put some work in the Plea to Ullr thread.

To be fair, they really do fucking rip on their e-unicycles.

Taking em to 60mph on the highway, dirtbike trails, mountain bike courses, river trails, nature paths, ultramarathon... The rider's in that group are going ham as fuck.

Based on my observations, it appears that the best Electric Unicycler in Oregon is a woman from Portland, Kelly Chameleon.

And no worries, we all lightened up super quick and had a fun night!

We ripped the shit out of the waterfront bike trail.

Leg 1: OMSI to the Lucky Labrador, crossing all the bridges and tents.

Charge 1: drink a pint at Lucky Labrador

Leg 2: Lucky Labrador to The Growler Guys, through the city lights with the fb page mods on EUCs and electric motorcycles blocking traffic and directing our 30+ person group ride.

Charge 2: drink a pint at The Growler Guys

Leg 3: The group splits into 2 groups -
    1. Some dark 10 mile loop back around to the OMSI that includes icy dirt sections.
    2. Different urban spots in the area, which I went to. We hit up a parking garage and a stair set with planter boxes they were getting into. That Kelly Chameleon chick did a salmon ladder up like 24 stairs and then raged down them on her e-unicycle.

Did the main lot & Sunrise fill by 7:30 @ McMeadows today?
We pulled up to HRM access road at 7:58 and there was a long line on 35 North from the main lot

Disease has taken most of his motor and verbal skills, but he can point where he wants to go, grin and let out some major rebel yells. And he has a major need for speed.

Those Sit-Skis look they've come along way since I handled one. Ben needs a shave.

^^^They’ve come a very long way
No more 50 pumps on a bottle jack to get the bucket ready to load. Just flip a lever, step on back of bi-skis and lift gently until it locks. Gas shock does all the work. Flip back before offload and it settles/locks when it clears the chair.

And UHMW plates underneath the frame. No more scooting the bucket out to the edge of the chair before offloading. That always terrified me. Now just stand up with a hand on the bucket.

PSA -- Hood River is now a suburb of Portland (per slopestyle commentators)

Enjoyed Groudhogs Day by playing 18 holes on the Salishan Resort course in Lincoln City. Very big, nice, challenging Scottish links-style course, overseen by Peter Jacobson (PGA guy from Oregon).

It was very wet and steep on the front 9, and I slipped in the mud a few times lol. As such, I did not shoot my best game ever, but I enjoyed the views and had fun.

From 1pm-2pm, it's only $39 for 18 holes and a cart rental. If you can only do 9, the back 9 by the ocean are better.

Also chill to rent a free bike from the resort and ride around on the cart path after 5 pm.

We enjoyed dinner and libations at the Salishack saloon.

Side note, I think I'm going to be a golfing gopher for Halloween.

With my OAS duties limited to that of spokesmodel today, I was able to wander le’Doo with Oregon Dead and Larilinesign (aka the Slush Sluts (tm)) and their crew on another Juneuary day
North facing slopes held up quite well, east facing notsomuch.

Was able to witness Lari’s prowess on the snowskate. Sadly technical difficulties prevented meaningful video on Grandstand
