We had a fun day double dipping at Skibowl and Timberline.

Goofed off all day riding park skis with no poles. We failed our arms all around and flat-spinned over and over on our way down the slope. It was silly and joyful and fun!

Now that the summit pass trail is groomed, top of Palmer to bottom of Summit is apparantly the longest ski run in America.

Everyone anticipated rain from the forecast but didn't check the radar which indicates a dense brick of weather from 5-9. Clear skies before and after. It's a ghost town at Timberline.

There’s a correlation between my erectile dysfunction and lack of snowfall.

All I’ve got to say is the snow is back for now.

Well apparantly, electric unicycles are all the rage now. And the group rides are massive.

You could imagine my surprise when I showed up to a huge bunch of middle-aged dudes all kitted-out head to toe in body armor on these ridiculously souped up e-unicycles.

Man, they were ROASTING me about my "old dinosaur" 4 wheeled Boosted Board.

Talk to your children about e-bullying!

A little person, Keegan, showed up on his badass little-person-sized electric motorcycle that he custom built for himself.

Lucky for me, he called the dogs off and let me hang with him for the night.

I'm debating if I'm going to return next week.

They must go a gazillion mile an hour and take rad jumps to kit out like like and think it is rational to make fun of you.

Or maybe it is just a Portland thing.

This. Probably dudes who listen to too much Joe Rogan so they think they’re tough, but really they’re just privileged tech bros who’ve never had a hard day in their life, and are afraid of falling over at 5 mph.

Well I thought I would be moving along, but the forum managers didn’t nuke my account as requested, so here I am still.

I didn’t really want in the gubernatorial race anyway.

Anyone get out on the little bit of fresh yesterday or today?

Prime conditions on the Butte. We had it all. Bluebird no crowds with low moisture content. Temperature in the teens with a light breeze. 6 inches of fluff in the trees and the groom was titts. Who doesn't like titts.

Completely agree. Think I cried a little when it started to snow. So grateful for soft turns.

Snow’s holding up real well with the somewhat brisk conditions and high overcast. Ski on from opening bell to 1230 when I lost feeling in some toes and cashed it in.

Even Outback was fun - not the Wind & Gaper Scoured Block of WTF Was I Thinking ice it normally is three days after new snow.

View from my AM pit stop - wasn’t taking off gloves today unless really necessary

PSA for anyone considering le’Doo this coming Saturday Feb 5
    Think again

Oregon Adaptive Sports has a large event that day - 21 disabled kids, 50 volunteers and instructors, plus family.

It will be a shitshow of epic proportion.

I saw someone in full kit on one of those unicycles hit a cyclist this summer. He was doing maybe 25 or so on a neighborhood street, the cyclist didn't see him, pulled out in front and got hit square on. It was an ugly hit - the cyclist was more or less T-boned - but he did limp away under his own steam.

The cyclist had a stop sign, so it was definitely on him, but those unicycles are small and fast moving, hard to spot. I suggested to the unicyclist (who was fine, all that gear works) that it would be a good idea to add some high viz to his kit and he just looked kind of nonplussed. Looks like they're all still wearing all black, go figure.
