My bet would be they will open Outback around Xmas, and Northwest sometime next week? Hoping it comes soon as the crowds would be tough without some ability to spread out...a bit.

    ^^^ Good and Bad
Bad - All the tourons will now flock over there and scrape it to ice in a day
Good - everybody will be home Xmas day when it dumps!

Edit to add - Fuck this photoloader. It's oriented right on both devices where it's saved
So you just have to view from "The Jonesy Angle"

Note 2 - Those signs were magnetically attached. One was at Sky chair as well. It vanished one night. The person who took said it became the world's biggest refrigerator magnet.

I shall make the journey to stand on the mountains and it will be good. Snow from the heavens shall fall and it will be dry with depth. Praise Ullr.

I’m just back from SoCal but won’t get to the hill til Sun or Mon…what a week to miss
I’ve never start my season so late

The ski bowl site is listing 37/mist at the moment (ouch), but it looks like proper winter up at Tline & MHM on the conditions pages

Full on winter and private country club crowd levels at mhm this morning… a bit crusty and variable off mhx but everywhere else was great

Didn't plan to post so soon, but sometimes shit happens and ruins your day.

Ended up on 1st chair despite not planning on it.

Went straight for Outback and made first tracks (other than the few sets fm patrol) Nice and light. About 6" or so.

I then took a double ejection header on my 2nd run on upper Kangroo when I dropped a small cornice into a wind drift. Stopped me dead and out I popped. right knee was screaming. Got up clicked in and things didn't feel right. Had to favor my right leg all the way down.

Decided to head back to the front side, and did a run down Coffee. Found some untracked, which seemed okay on the knee but still could feel pain on the right and back side.

So hit the lodge for about 15 minutes and did a few more laps on Pine, and then called it a day at 11am. Trying to get my right foot out of my boot was excruciating. Really pissed as I was hoping to ski with my oldrr brother tomorrow. Maybe a hyperextension or slight knee sprain? Icing it and some Advil. Going to say a little prayer and cross my finger that I can go, even if it's for an hour.

Stay safe out there folks, and enjoy the pow!

Sorry to hear that. I am not religious, but will say a prayer for nothing serious and a quick heal!

Pretty sure it's the ICL. The pain is gone, but definitely feeling some lateral instability. CBD cream, Advil, and ice. Heading out to get a compression knee brace. Sucks to have it happen this early in the season. Especially during the Xmas holiday snow fest.

At least I didn't break anything unimportant like my head.

For freezing temps in the valley & 4” of snow for Sun

How did we ever get thru winter before?

Some swelling overnight. No skiing for me today. Just ice and couch time. Will just look out the window and watch the snow falling on the lawn and dream of powder turns tonight. Maybe Santa will bring me a Christmas miracle and I can make some turns on Saturday.

I did see several families doing the fast tracks thing. IMO a waste of money yesterday. Never really had to wait more than a few minutes. But I guess if money is no object, what the hell.

That virtually ensures there will be little to no snow. It will all amount to a wet, cold fart. As per usually.

Affirmative on the right side up. Started getting right (even at Skibowl) last night at about 7:30.

    Best wishes Toadman!

    Have a great weekend everyone!
