It was fine at 0630. North bound was unplowed, ranking high on the spicy scale.

To be fair, if you’re driving in the snow you should always have a shovel in your vehicle

Yes, along with an emergency road side kit, and tire chains if you do not have winter tires. And I have had to shovel my self out of ski resort parking lots on occasion, which depending on the circumstances isn't necessarily a bad thing.

This week has been crazy. About 10 days ago we were talking about resorts opening with 18 inches. Now we are one storm away from having enough snow for Heather to open. Gotta love the PNW.

Definitely looks like the top of that mountain is broken. Hopefully it won't make an appearance again until after Christmas.

Santa's going to have to bring out Rudolph. Unless Santa replaced him with a 25k lumen LED headlamp.

I bought a few buddy passes on my season pass this year. Hoping my older brother can make it for Christmas. Anyone know if these have blackout dates, or can I redeem them during holiday periods?

^^^they don’t make it easy to find an answer on their website…
Prolly best to text the main office and ask 541.382.1709

After a few days of high traffic at Mt B, it’s not clear their Revenue Enhancement Programs are going that well.

Four vehicles in that vast expanse.

The Fast Tracks program isn’t getting a lot of use either. I saw two groups totaling seven people go thru the FT gates this AM. Maybe more over at Pine but the lines there were stupid.

And even when they do, it ain’t all that fast. This AM on Sky it was CAF (crowded as fuck) at 1045. About the time I got to the start of rope maze in singles line(so 20? Peeps in front of me), three guys pull thru FastTracks lane.

    Guess who loaded first
Lifty seemed to be ignoring them or something - he kept loading us singles two at a time

Maybe the peeps in the FT line were hesitant to speak up for fear of ridicule?

It’s cool though that you can buy a day of Fast Tracks right at the lift gates with a QR code and a credit card. Because that will be instantaneous and won’t hold up the other FT folks…

Presidents’ Day weekend a group of you should all “try” to buy fast tracks at like 9:15 am and block the whole gate.

I've not been there as you have, but is coverage exceptional for a 33" base? My memory is also not what it once was, but not sure I've seen Northwest pop before somewhere around 50 or 60 inch base as coverage before that is brutal. My bet would be they will open Outback around Xmas, and Northwest sometime next week? Hoping it comes soon as the crowds would be tough without some ability to spread out...a bit.

Followed TBS's advice and contacted Mt Bachelor customer service. For anyone who cares, blackout dates for the season pass buddy tickets are Dec. 26-Jan. 2nd.
