No, everyone needs to chill the fuck out. That guy was out of line but this division tactics bullshit needs to stop. I’ve seen more BS from mask natzis than anti’s.
Zero reason to wear one in the lift line or on a chair, load the things up, you are outside by the way. If a person is uncomfortable with that then they can chose to wear one or stay home and clutch pearls. Now a tram, I’d probably wear a face covering.
Having to show a vacc card to participate in an outdoor activity, fuck outta here.
I will, I’ll wear a face covering, not showing you my card. You act like vaccinated people can’t spread this thing… Not arguing with you as you say a lot of stupid shit on here and obviously have to much free time on your hands. Just stating my opinion on this “issue”.
Ski season can’t come soon enough. I’m more than ready to ski.

where the article says : The rare outdoor transmission that has happened almost all seems to have involved crowded places or close conversation.
At the same time, the article circumscribes the ridiculous complexity of recommendations as well as the likely bogus 10% statistic for outdoor covid infections.
Covid transmissions are more likely to happen in dense situations. Like in liftlines or on a chair, but not in parking lots, on sidewalks or trails.
On one hand, I understand the frustration with being imposed on.
On the other hand, these are our fellow citizens.

I dont want to wear a mask in the lift line because i had real issues trying to figure out how to stop goggle fogging in a PNW blizzard while sweating. But, outside of goggle fogging i do not mind masks one single bit.
Just a bummer that people can't be civil and polite. I want the jerry next to me to have a goodtime and feel safe so if he asks me to pull up my balaclava on the lift ride up, its no problem. Pretty similar to if someone asks to put the bar down at a resort that doesn't require it... only douchenozzles say no.
Dont be a douche. Try and make those around you have fun and feel safe. Ski good snow on good terrain with good people and get pitted. Im looking forward to Winter 21/22.
Well, if you watch that video, the dude who put a stop to the ranting, threatening asshole did just that in, like, three seconds. Bam. Fuck you. Chill. And then back to his breakfast.
Nobody is asking for your card in America, but, they are in Europe.
We all seem to forget that Covid spread throughout most of Europe and then on to Colorado by way of ski resorts. The danger is public officials using that to shut down skiing, again, if it flares up again. The general non skiing public could give a fuck if we can't ski.
Excerpted from the Taos website:
"Face masks are required for all guests ages 2+ in indoor public spaces. These spaces include but are not limited to: restrooms, The Blake, the Rio Hondo Learning Center, Taos Sports, Taos Rentals, and Confluence. Face coverings are recommended in outside high-density areas." (emphasis added)
Also: no childcare offered; everything is cashless; and certain restaurants will require proof of vaccinations and reservations for indoor dining at resort-owned restaurants.
Given how the CEO and management devloved in the past wanting to be the "platinum standard in covid-safe practices," I wouldn't be surprised if masks become required in lift lines.
Skied into the lift line last year with a 4 and 6 year old. We usually pull them with a pole through the maze. Hadn’t pulled up our masks yet, lot going on. Some lady walking by (Not even in line) starts screaming at us “You’re ruining it for everyone” over and over again. I think my kids hands were cold or something so were fiddling with her stuff. The screaming goes on for like 30 seconds before we realize she’s yelling at us. Normally I would just pull up my mask but she was being such a total bitch. I say do you work here, she says no. I tell her to mind your own business then. She keeps yelling your ruining it for everyone over and over again. I then tell her to go fuck yourself. She runs over to the liftee and is pointing as us. Liftee is trying hard not to laugh. The lady walks by and then takes a picture of us. It was so bizarre. We then pull up our masks and have a laugh with the liftee who apologizes to us. People have lost their minds during this pandemic. It was a weekday afternoon too, so it was not crowded.
It's one thing to put personal politics ahead of public health and job security. It's another thing to put personal politics ahead of freaking SKIING. You all will wear a mask if that's what it takes to ski. If 'Merkia had vax requirements for ALL lift served skiing, most of you would cave and get the jab.. A few crumundgeons might stick to BC laps to show the libs... Please do..
Go that way really REALLY fast. If something gets in your way, TURN!
Yeah, it's a restaraunt. Puncher unmasked too. Strange world, strange times. Kinda sucks. We are a neurotic, unhappy people, and this is really fucking with that. I had a few drinks with an old friend recently who had an 18.5 year old and a sixteen year old, and he exposed me to something I was clueless about, which is, that generation is really mad and really fucked up over this. That won't end when the masks finally come off.
I don't think it was a mask dispute, I think he was in NYC and his beef was being asked to show his vax card, which is required to dine indoors in New York. Which is why its stupid for him to bitch at the employees, they didn't make the rule, but I guess he was hangry.
But yeah, some people have lost their minds over this pandemic, that's the truth. Most people can deal with it, but those who are emotionably unstable seem to cross the line on both sides and flip out about shit.
Something weird is going on with peoples behavior in America independent of political affiliation, possibly justified by some cult of personality?
