I’ve been following this story because it’s answering that question for me.
Listening to the murdaugh murders podcast today and I heard something crazy.
The murdaughs law firm was so good at getting crazy high settlements in lawsuits for its clients that it essentially ruined the entire county. No businesses or industry want to set up in Hampton county because if some dickweed skins his knee in your parking lot you’ll get the pants sued off of your body. So there is no industry.. and no jobs in that county basically because of the lawyer.
It’s so pervasive and well known that Hampton county is the only county in SC that doesn’t have a wal mart. Wal mart didn’t want to be sued by this guy. That’s nuts.Last edited by Wrecked; 10-15-2021 at 06:04 PM.
