The dry sense of humor was perfectly mixed with sarcasm. I knew his wife longer , we worked at a restaurant about 23 years ago, but only met John around 10 years ago when he worked with me on a house I was building. He certainly threw out some funny stuff.

Was great to see the large number of people at the Celebration today. Caught up with a number of old friends and had some good laughs remembering our lost friend. One highlight was Jeff Wade remembering a time they were working together on a house and John described the skiing Sunday with his Blazer group after a Saturday rain and freeze as "burnished". Finished off in the parking lot with some Blazer coaches in the parking lot that offered "have a PBR, and tequila shot, to remember John".
