WADA still lists it as a banned substance for a variety of reasons. USATF follows WADA, IOC follows WADA to some extent. IOC has updated their rules to allow 10x the amount of THC as they did 15+ years ago. Now you need to be more or less high, in the moment, to fail a test for IOC regulations

Being born a biological male offers advantages that simply cannot be mitigated by reducing testosterone for one year.

If trans men want to compete with men, fine. But women’s sports should be reserved for women who were born biologically female.

Also total bullshit that the US is going to voluntarily prevent the top female sprinter from competing over weed.

In 2013, WADA raised the threshold for a positive test to 150 ng/ml from 15. For comparison, Ross Rebagliati's test was 17.8 and he claimed it was from second hand smoke. In Washington, if you are above 5 and driving, you are guilty of DUI regardless of whether the weed is effecting your ability to drive (so similar to .08 on alcohol DUI). However, for a DUI in Washington the only number that matters is the active THC, not the metabolite, carboxy THC. WADA tests the metabolite, which stays in your system for weeks.

Sha’Carri Richardson says she popped an edible after a reporter told her her biological mom had died. The trials are in Eugene, so it was easy for her to pick up an edible, with weed shops everywhere.

Maybe we need to scrap binary classifications and go with “Open” class and “Limited” class and deal with a proper testosterone taper period.

Take the gender politics and morality out and just use science based classifications.

I would agree with open and limited where open is anyone and limited is only people who were born biologically female. Perhaps data will show that trans women who did not go through puberty as a biological male do not have a significant advantage but I doubt it. The advantages of male biology for sports are much wider than just testosterone.
