My Hoji 110 are the best ski touring boot I’ve ever had. Kryptons with tech fittings finally got made! 300g pin bindings, 1800g Bentchetlers are light and shred. 160hp direct inject 2 stroke flying snow carpet don’t seem so “dark age” and you can even get turbos on your BRP snow carpets now!

At least it’s way better than Scarpa Lazers with raichle tongues, Naxos, non rockered skis and flooded carbs.
    Hot take that I dig

I've been using them while touring and they are comfy and prevent blisters. They also stink like death and may be washed regularly.

I have all the same complaints about this boot. Why was it made so wide?

Have mine molded with a pro tour liner one size larger than normal and they tour fine now.

Have to really! crank the ankle buckle down to lock in the heel, however.

I wonder if anyone is finding success with making these wider, but otherwise great boots, fit without compromise? I like the looks of "goldenbc" 's cuff liner mod of power wrap liners for touring boots. I have a pair of luxury liners(i think thats the model? Quite a bit thicker) that i have in one of my 2 pair of lupos. It allows me to go back almost 2 rungs on the buckle ladders

Am I just dumb or do you need to trim the plastic of the cuff back to move the ladder on the upper buckle to a shorter position? The ladder pops into the longest position fine, but to install it you need to angle the hook on the end of the ladder in so it pops into the slot on the cuff, and the rest of the tab on the cuff gets in the way in the shorter setting.

The inside of the cuff is marked for trimming but I don't really want to cut it, both because I feel kinda borderline on which setting I want, and because I'll probably end up putting an aftermarket liner in there at some point.

    worked in

Curious how the velcro worked out for you with some days on it. that might be a good hack I will take on this season.

Mine took a two visits to cook them enough to fit well. Did notice some dampness sneaking in on warmer days when I undid lower buckles on tour, keep my eye on that.

I have a high arch, could not fit the Hoji Free but these are working great.

got about 20 days on the Rad Pro without issues, got about 40 days on the Hoji PX and they're started showing their age.

If you're inclined swapping to a booster strap style would be a little more reliable long-term

Anyone with reports about how these ski, compared to something like the ZGTP? And how about durability? ZGTP's tend to loosen in the cuff rivets quite fast.

Finally bought a pair of these after torturing myself with quattro XTs for a while and I’m blown away, I was never able to make the Hoji work well for me with the narrow throat and low instep but these are way easier to fit and feel even better skiing without the pingy carbon shell.

Skied inbounds on refrozen crap with CAST’s and 191 Hoji’s for good testing.

So I’ve skied almost all hard skiing touring boots and the quattro XT, ZGPT and the Lange XT3 are the only ones I’ve been able to enjoy(all with zipfit GFTs), the radical pro blows them all away. These are the closet thing with a walkmode I’ve skied to my ZBs, they’re not super stiff forward, but laterally and rearward they a rock solid, rearward laxity really bothers me so I’m super stoked these are so solid.

I don’t really understand where the bucket last comments come from as these seem pretty average width wise, but I size these like my race boots and use the zipfits so I probably don’t have the same experience as everyone(I didn’t even try on the stock liner).

I did throw in the bontex shim in to snug up the toebox a little and I’m quite content with the fit of these with the zipfit that I am not planning on putting in any more cork at the moment. For reference I ski a Gara LV in my ZBs which most would consider too much, so I enjoy good heel and ankle pressure.

Also the Zipfit GFT works much better in most touring boots when you cut off the bottom honeycomb piece, way more comfortable as well.

How good these feel make me want to buy som tigards on sale and put a 1cm bontex in there to snug up the absolute horrendous instep fit they went for, now that’s a bucket fit.

That's the only thing i don't like about the hoji free 130, the rebound.

If this boot you're trying made of a different material?

How does one remove the spoilers on these? Felt a little off yesterday and realized it probably has to do with the 7 mm ramp delta on my touring setup compared to the 1 mm delta of my alpine bindings. Hoping going from 14-11 degrees solves it.

Quick Question regarding sizing on the Radical Pro's.....
How are these running length wise? True to size, little Small or a little Big? Currently in a Salomon Shift 130 for resort in 25.5 with a LV Intuition liner (~1 finger type of fit) and a pr of Fischer TransAlp Pros for Touring w/ Intuition ProTour in 26.5 (1.5-2 finger fit). Obviously I want all day comfort in these while hiking. Leaning towards the 26.5 as long as they don't run big. TIA

They are short compared to most brands, but as always you probably need to try them on

They definitely don't run big in length, but they do run very very roomy in the toebox in pure volume. I used to have a very tight fit 26.5 ZGTP. Switched to a 27.5 Radical Pro (couldn't even dream of a 26.5 Radical Pro length wise), and went to a DD Pro Tour 15mm, which is just right. I did an old Intuition Tour Wrap before which didn't quite take enough volume.

Finally got to try on a radical pro in my size. I also ski in a Zero G. The radical fits a touch longer and much wider in the toe box and forefoot. In a nice way for me. My zero g is stretched to infinity and I could probably just go with a small 6th toe punch on the radical. I wouldn’t recommend anyone changing boot sizes for it.

On another note, that is the shittiest lowest cuff I have ever experienced. I have a rigid plastic tongue velcroed to my GFT and it still felt like it would snap my tibia flexing into it. Wearing the power strap way above the cuff helped. But I doubt it would stay there all day.

Has anyone put driver plates on a radical?

Removing the huge spoiler thingie was a big change for me as well. I think it was fastened with a hex bolt or two rivets, on the same holes as the power strap uses.

I snagged a pair at the local consignment shop- unused and they fit great right out of the box. Just finished a resort skin using hojis and shifts, and I’m impressed.
