RIP Julie Pomagalski
Snowboarder Julie Pomagalski, who competed in the 2002 and 2006 Winter Olympics, was killed Tuesday morning in an avalanche in Switzerland
She was world boardercross champion in 1999 in Berchtesgaden and won the Snowboardcross World Cup in 2004.
Pomagalski is the granddaughter of Jean Pomagalski, who invented the first ski lift in 1934 and founded the brand Poma in 1947.

Damn. Her and Guide Bruno Cutelli both found dead by emergency services. I'm assuming from the articles it wasn't a client type relationship but they don't have a lot of info or translate well

nasty Giraffe variation, they were swept over the rocks, if the starting point of te slf accident map is correct.
It's scary when its safe and not such a good idea with that rollover and terrain below when its level 3. They were under the level 3 altitude line, so technically it was okish, but the slf warned about a certain weak layer within the fresh snow from last week.
I usually avoid that area in Andermatt, but i guess i know why they went there it's one of the last things that gets tracked.
