Hey mags,
We've entered our little hill in a contest to get $50K from da man. Mackenzie Investments is running a contest to give $50 big ones ($4,000 US) to the ski community most "invested" in their hill in Canada. We've had a pretty amazing snow year at our hill, but it's been a tough one financially as we had significant expenses getting Shames operational in times of Covid. This involved almost $100K in lodge and rental shop renos, a new wifi system for online ticket purchases, contactless payment etc etc. On top of that one of our snow cats calved to the tune of $100K. So what would have been a pretty good season for us given increased numbers, now is not so great. We've also got some pretty large maintenance bills coming down the pipe. OK, ok I'm done pleading...

Here's what you can do, if you've a couple of minutes to spare to help a brother (and his ski hill) out. Go to this site:
