Carbon steel is like aircraft grade aluminum, obscures more than reveals

There are a lot of products you should try from there since you have a wide variety of food there.

This was not bought at Costco but they should carry it. Damn that’s a good condiment. I’d like it in a quart size though. That little jar was $9 at our local specialty grocer. But it’s worth it.

3 headlamps for $13. The dog will be sporting one soon.

The advent of cheap and bright LEDs is a triumph that probably doesn't get the attention it deserves.

What do I want from Costco?

Costco yesterday had prime sirloin cap for 9.49/lb, cut into steaks, fat trimmed.

I remember the days when it was a fire hazard if your bike headlight accidentally turned on in your bag

I just installed a ceiling light fixture from IKEA and noticed the max wattage per bulb was something like 20 W, so they're now designing fixtures that really won't even accommodate incandescent bulbs.

I bought that 3-pack a while ago, since I am forever losing track of my camping headlamp. Now I have 4 headlamps and I still can't find any of them. One in the truck, one in the garage, one in the kitchen and one upstairs. Well that's where I thought I left them, anyways.

I feel like an old fogey but I do prefer my incandescent lights- and my whole house was wired up with ancient dimmer switches. Someday I guess people like me will all be gone, babbling to our graves about how much better a loud V8 engine was.

Lots of LEDs are dimmable now.

I tried a bunch of brands and types a while back, never worked right in my house and when they did couldn't get too low. I have some Philips HUE bulbs that can dim well, but basic 'dimmable' LED bulbs were a bust for me. It may very well be the age and 'let the next guy deal with it' craftsmanship theme of my house.

I could a used that back at Christmas time when I bought five different headlamps for my wife and put them under the tree. She even got one from the dog.

How long was a while? More likely the LED bulbs you tried than the dimmers. Dimmers never had anything high tech going on. Unless they're worn out, which you'd probably notice regardless of bulb.

The dimming curve on "dimmable" bulbs has improved massively from what they were like just a few years ago. We just replaced a set of incandescents on a 25 yo fixture (that's always dimmed) with LEDs. Got a matched set thinking they'd dim differently, but I tried it with just one replaced and the only difference I could notice was the tint. No lower color temp in stock, unfortunately.

Last time I went to Costco I wanted a block of Parmigiano Reggiano. They were out. First time I've EVER been skunked on that at Costco.

End days, I tell ya... END DAYS.

Loss leader. Just like the ginormous rotisserie chicken that is still just $5.
