Brand new at the start of the season, not out as much as i usually would be per season as I have with my last pair of gloves (which I wore into the ground over 6 years and still use as back ups).
I’d guess 16 full days so far.
Is there a trick? Gonna lather them with mink oil I think. I tried a buddies on a few fingers and seems like it’d help, is that all I need to do?

Are you complaining?? I fail to see a problem, looks dexterous (but not as fuck as they aren't Hestra).
Also, who the fuck doesn't snowseal all leather gloves a couple times a year?
Mink Oil?? PM Old Larry about loafer care.

Ooof, alright. I felt like the tips were starting to wear through the leather. Noted, use something else to moisturize them and do it more frequently. Might just delete this while it’s early and save face. Way to start it off. I’d love to have ol uncle Larry teach me the way.

I once scaled a couloir and then traversed on all fours above a 2,000ft cliff in leather gloves from the fucking hardware store.
On acid.
What now isn’t working for you?
Who are some of you people?

Sno-seal will be more waterproof but it hardens the leather significantly (like a wax coating).
I’ve been using the same cup of mink oil for 20 years on gloves and leather jackets (back when I had them). It keeps the leather supple and protects it. Just remember - a little dab will do ya.

They're made out of cheap, dry Chinese leather that they use to make the $999 no-interest for a year sectional sofas at Bob's Discount Furniture. No amount of sno-seal or oil will make those right. Keep them for carrying wood into the house for the fireplace.

Oil your gloves if you hate breathability, wax them if you want them waterproof and breathable.

something sucks
get snow seal and a hair dryer, I am going to assume you have the grey matter to turn the hair dryer on before gripping it between yer knees, put the gloves on, scoop out snow seal and rub it into the glovesLee Lau - xxx-er is the laziest Asian canuck I know

Hestra Job (what a name) Kobolt CZone Winter FTW and $30. Or splurge and get all-leather and outseams on the fingers for $10 more Winter CZone Pro. I'm certain they don't do one in a knit wrist b/c they'd lose 50% of their ski glove sales. I think essentially the same price and durability as Kinco models but more dexterous and with a w/b membrane.

2nded, although I probably only made it through about five seasons on the first pair. They're still completely usable, but the amount of weird snowmobile/gasoline/oil/random ski area grime started to make me feel shame. But those things seem borderline indestructible.
To the OP, I think they suck. Go with Kincos or Flylows (thirty something dollars, probably).[quote][//quote]
