Intermitent failure of backspace to return to the last page

Not sure if the title makes sense but I'm using firefox/windows 10/ new lenovo X1 Yoga thinkpad, when I use the backspace key to page backwards thru previous screens intermittently there is no response, hit BS again and it responds going back a page

At first i assumed it was the keyboard on this refurbed lenovov LT intermittently not responding but then I noticed when ever it didn't page back the little arrow circle next to the home symbol did respond but the app did not page back

I havent tried any other browsers yet it seems to only happen back paging using the BS key while surfing TGR in firefox

I’ve gotten the same lately using the back arrow, about a 50% no response rate. Firefox/windows 10.

I'm not 50% more like 10%,

I havent noticed it on any of the other sites i hangout at, just TGR

and here i was all set to take it back to the dealer & complain about an intermittent backspace keybutton

yeah that works but at least with me its a pretty intermittent bug,
i will try it and see but i think its something to do with TGR

Benie isnt here yet so we arent debating software bugs, we are reporting them

alt + left arrow can also fail to page back same as the backspace key not paging back

i'm used to wathcing the screen now to see if the arrow circle thingy in the firefox browser goes around but the screen fails to page back

only happens in TGR

this is not a mechanical issue

I got it working or rather I found a guy who got it working

some guy on FB was selling a lenovo computer said he was a ceritfyed tech so totally at random i asked him if he had ever heard of this problem, he said hang on , came back 15 min later and said he figured it out

in case I ever need this again

the type about:config into browser bar
ignore the warning to not proceed
type browser.backspace_action
right click on the pencil icon
change the numerical value beside the preference to 0
click the check mark & quit the browser

got talking afterwards and turns out buddy used to be an IBM contracter on a bunch of hardware everything from AS 400 to store systems to banking systems, had been a system admin spending a lot of time in about:config and we knew the same guy in Terrace

talk about Random I'm gona go buy a lottery ticket !
