I withdraw my question as unnecessarily inflammatory and more suited to political asshatery. I don&#39;t want to start down that rabbit hole, there&#39;s a reason I don&#39;t go there.&nbsp;</p>

I&#39;m pretty sure you can shoot them if their technical gear smells bad.
New question--which is better, technical or tactical?

That's like asking if bacon or cheese is better, you need them both or you don't have a bacon cheeseburger.

Are there many small farms making it in America today? I would guess it's not the major crops like wheat and corn but rather maybe something like parsnips or lesser demand?

Supplemented income with a full time job with the power company and stipend for taking in foster babies until they were adopted. Town Fire Chief and towns practical joker too. Got me once with a load of manuer.

On my 30 mile bike ride from Issaquah, (a suburb of Seattle), I probably passed a dozen small farms. Probably more actually.

Dehumidifiers suck. They last maybe a year these days and cost $200-$300. An AprilAire E050 doesnt suck and will last but its like $1500.00 Worth it?

The big guys rule. For the rest its a lifestyle I guess. I once went on a quest for a mag to get some skis for the friend of said mag. Friend ran a no till farm managed via GPS with a system that treated one plant at a time with what it needed. That was 15 years back. Wonder how the farm worked out?

We have four Frigidaire fifty pint dehumidifiers that have been running for at least four years, one for nearly six. Two were Amazon returns that we got for around two hundred bucks. Used to be the Wirecutter pick, but looks like they’ve replaced it with a smart version.

Thanks. It seems like 5 years or so ago all of a sudden they all turned to absolute crap but I'll look into the Frigidaire ones.

A lot of small farms supply food lockers, community kitchens and the like. With cuts to these organizations from Our Leader some of these farms are going to be hurting. I was watching an interview with a woman who had greatly expanded here strawberry operation just in time for the organizations that created the demand stop buying.

I am not trying to be funny but it really depends on your definition of small. second, vegetable farms that sell farm to table/CSAs are different critters than the more commodity oriented producers.from the verdant green mountain state - home of &quot;small agriculture&quot; which here is a three or four hundred cow dairy. Twenty years ago many dairys were at 700 cows and more. This trend has continued. Then there and lots of people with a working partner and a vegetable farm / gentleman&#39;s farm, and then there are hippies that are the children of my generation. these kids are finding cheap land and busting ass growing and selling at markets and CSAs. great kids

Anyone ever insulate their garage doors or replace uninsulated doors with insulated ones? Did it make a big difference? Cost?

IME if you live where it is below freezing for an extended period of time if you don't insulate the slab floor dont bother with the door.
