Other than the fact he voted for Dump, he is a really good guy. Solid provider for his family, really a top 5% dad and he finds the patience to deal with my daughter, who is very hard to deal with post stroke. If his views were not so damn conservative, I would love the guy.
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Why Carhartt but not Dickies for people who want to look working class? Actual working class people need not reply.

Am I still working class just because I have a job even though I ski at will, pursue non-job related ventures during paid hours, and really only “work” five hours a week?

I wear Carhartt loose fit heavy weight pocket Tees because I like how they feel. In fact that's pretty much all I wear for shirts. I don't wear them to look working class. And I don't wear Dickies because I don't like how they feel. I also wear Carhart watch caps, but again, it's because I like the hats. Does Dickies make hats?

Carhartt opened a store in Boulder just down from the Apple store, to give you an idea of who they’re marketing to these days.

I'm happy if the mice, squirrels, bears, et al are in the yard and not in the house.

That seems like a great long-term solution. If your yard is fenced, you might borrow a terrier from someone and let them hang out and chase rodents for a few days because they'll love it, but I think the owls will do a better job.

Our local "Friends of the Audubon Society" gives them out for free.

Check and see if you have one (they usually have FB pages if you do that).

Ours is called "Friends of the Blue Mountain Audubon Society" so look for some variation of that fits your geographic location.

    Yikes!

As my friend who shows dogs (Belgian Tervurens) is fond of saying - there's only a two letter difference between Terrier and terror.

Well, "Best By" is just a suggestion, it doesn't say "Use before" so it's probably safe. Maybe.

The neighbors kitty seemed to think it was OK. But then again he eats moles, voles and gophers regularly.

Nah, that neighbor is an asshole. He put 2 9MM rounds through his neighbors dog. Both through and through, the dog was fine, relatively speaking. I do like the cat, it helps keep the rodent population at bay.

Umm, if some asshole ventilated my dog, it would be a serious challenge for me not to ventilate the guy.

Srsly. Canned food is good forever.

Unless the can has swelled. That's bad news.

I'm curious how the local constables dealt with that complaint? If there were no repercussions for ventilating the puppy I would have ventilated the shooter.

In Montana, if the dog is off the owner's property and harassing your livestock, you can legally shoot it.
