Thanks again, homie! You have a package coming from here. Let me know when/if it arrives. I've had terrible experiences recently with sending packages both ways to/from Japan/Wisconsin. About 4 of them have simply disappeared in the last 3 years. My parents and I think the postal workers are stealing them.

I don’t much trust the mail, but I think the reason is [polyass] because the right wing has done as much as they can to defund, cripple, and block operations in the USPS so that delivery can be completely turned over to private enterprise. If that’s a conspiracy, so be it. Fucking Republicans. [/polyass]

Is there a vintage (190?) surveying equipment forum? Or anything out there because google sucks

delivery things are weird. The best lately is dhl from japan to the us, and I’ve no idea why, exact maybe because it’s so niche they haven’t degraded it to shit

Why is someone living a cushy life said to be lying in a "bed of roses?" Rose canes are hard and full of nasty thorns. Is the bed just made of petals? That doesn't seem all that great either.

What's with the beater cars/trucks piled ridiculously high and strapped down with wood pallets? Maybe just a thing in my town? See them from time to time.

Hoarders? Ready for a bonfire at a moment's notice? The new bitcoin alternative (palletcoin)?

Nah they take them to a refurbisher and sell them. Not bad in terms of recycling, but would be nice if their truck wasn't a rolling hazzard.

Ok, that makes sense now. But yeah, the heights of some of them are clown car-ish.

In the Disney movies like Cars and Planes are humans part of their world? If not, why are there things like crop dusters for food crops and sky scrapers?

Behavior at stop signs changed dramatically a year or two ago. Was it the just apocalypse, or does the prevalence of new roundabouts change their perception of how they should treat stop signs?

I don’t know but I don’t think it’s just stop signs. Nobody seems to understand right-of-way anymore. They don’t know the rules and don’t seem to understand why they’re important. Stopping and waving at the other driver who I guess is supposed to read your mind doesn’t make you a safe driver or a good person or whatever- it is actually increasing the likelihood of an accident.
