Ha! Honestly, I wasn't trying to be snarky (toward you) because it's obviously a cut and paste.

However, I am generally annoyed by the fact that a large portion of American adults couldn't pass a third grade test on apostrophe usage. (I know, there's a thread for that)

edit: again, not implying you're one of them

Yeah, literally every aspect of it is terrible. Kerning, incorrect apostrophe, mixing regular and italic fonts, old timey when most business want fresh... It's like a graphic design 101 "don't do this" example.

Any recommendations for ear protection that is not the squishy foam plugs?

I see moldable plugs on Amazon, do they work and are comfortable enough for sleeping?

I have a buddy that got custom ones from an Audiologist brother of his, those would be the ticket and I'll likely call locally for cost, buy am expecting them to run $$$.

Wanting them for overseas airplane trips and camping.

I swear by these for noise reduction for concerts etc: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
when you use them everything sounds the same, only softer.

but it sounds like you're going for silence and I got nothing.

Why is it more fun to have a catch with your kid with a catchers mitt than it is with any other glove? It’s got to be at least 50% more enjoyable.

Because you played catcher? Why else would you own a catcher's mitt?

Option two--because your kid has a 100MPH heater and trying to catch him with any other glove would be suicide.

No and no. He used to be on a team where everybody practiced pitching because there were strict limits on pitch count for their tournaments but he never threw hard enough that I couldn’t catch him in an outfielders mitt. We bought the catchers mitt on a whim. It does make a very satisfying “whump!” Noise when he throws hard though.

Played catch a few times with XGF's 13-year old son, top pitcher in his age group (Sapporo) and the thin mitt I was borrowing didn't cut it

I'm wondering whether anyone here rides in their pick-up while having your dog in the bed tied, so he/she won't jump out? I've seen this quite a bit, and I am wondering whether I would ever do it. I never have.

I'm wondering whether I should post this in the doggie stoke forum?

The pop of a catchers mitt is so much more satisfying than the smack of a different glove.

After my first pup fell out of the bed of my Toyota p/u doing about 50kph and rolled about 10m before getting up and shook the experience off, he and all subsequent hounds have either been tied to a short leash or in a crate when in an uncovered bed of a p/u. Not worth the anguish.

Had friends lose their dogs from ‘falling’ out of the open p/u bed at highway speeds. The worst was at work when one crew was using a flatdeck, and had tied their dogs up, but for some reason left the lead on one way too long. Bad bounce on a corner and the poor thing got hung over the side. Not pretty.

Hounds in crates are the way to go.

It's watermelon season. Why is it that the bushels of fresh watermelons in the grocery store make the entire produce section smell like a pair of sweaty socks that have been worn for about a week straight?

    Cloudveil

I was looking for a cheap daypack for travel (and an occasional hike), Sierra had a decent looking "Cloudveil" one for cheap, and they have free shipping to the store (and obviously, if I don't like it I can return it on the spot). So there's only the risk of driving a few minutes out of my way.

But I am curious, I know the original Cloudveil went belly-up, and so what I am buying is the old intellectual property tacked onto new gear. But who makes it? Where are they selling it? I tried to google or search for ANY cloudveil products for sale anywhere, and Sierra seems the only place, and nothing there has ANY reviews. Weird. Anybody know the deal?
