    Pivot Adjustability Question

    Hey There,

I know I KNOW A TON OF THREADS ON THIS... lol

On the look pivot, i have a chance to pick up some sticks with them mounted with the Pivot for a 311 bsl, I have a 317 bsl. The range covers it but the start of the threads shows a little bit, like 1 MM worth.

It goes past the 3 "rings" on the pivot arm. Is this ok? or should no threads show at all?

    Thanks

    -Z

If you're saying what I think you're saying, I wouldn't use them with any threads showing. I thought the entire 3rd band showing was really close to the stopping point for adjustability.

Yeah, you’re definitely outside of range. I doubt if you would strip them out, but at that angle the arms might start really pinching your boot, and I don’t know if that would do good things for release values.

But you seem like a risk taker.

Pivot heels are prone to pullout, so remounting them close to old holes is something I'd avoid.
I aways remount Pivot toes if the mount need to be moved only a small amount.

How close is too close? Thinking about moving a set 1cm

    Pivot Adjustability Question

I have some right now that the full 3rd band is actually showing. I ended up emailing pivot and they said it was ok. They also verified that the idea of the bands is 1st and 3rd mark the usable adjustment range. My boot is for sure pinched more than my other pivot mounts, but I think I’m going to roll with it.

I believe I’m about a turn and a half from threads showing.
