Best Sitcom Ever?
Seems like this thread would have been done but a search yields nada.
Maybe we should start with nominees. Off the top of my head, my top tier would have to include:
Taxi
WKRP
Green Acres
Beverly Hillbillies
I think I'd toss in The Munsters or The Addams Family but they'd be at number 5 on that list.
Lots of good to very good shows but I'd have to say that's my top 5/6. Whaddaya got?

Definitely generation specific but mine is.
The Office
Watch reruns everyday and laugh just as much. Even the original British ones are great.

Yeah can't argue with Seinfeld, I was thinking even older ones for whatever reason but Seinfeld does kill.

Curb your enthusiasm and It's Always Sunny In Philly are probably tied for first, not just for the quality but the exceptionally long run without descending into not quite as quality.
Not the best pre se but I liked Newsradio.
Seinfeld was good but all the characters could be just annoying to me in anything other than small doses. Sunny and Curb, while equally awful people, manage to not ever annoy me.__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ________________

I reserve the right to completely change my list if subjected to public pressure and/or mockery.
edit: It’s always Sunny in Philadelphia belongs in there too

Barney Miller as a kid with Dad
WKRP. But Dad didn't get Dr Fever. Or Les for that matter.
Missed most of the late 80's and 90's - no TV
Trailer Park Boys
Shameless
Not sure if animation counts, but honourable mention is Simpsons, Southpark and Archer

Fawlty Towers deserves an honorable mention
Good list, except for twin peaks. Not comedy.
Been binge watching 2 1/2 men. Missed it first time around.
Tried the office, and a few of the modern sitcoms. They just don’t click for me. The camera work is annoying. And most of the humor is just awkwardness and embarrassment. I want more jokes and laughs.I’ve just decided to be a middle aged somewhat depressed somewhat anxious fucktard until the end.

Married With Children was one of my faves.
I struggle to rank stuff, so I just stopped. Non-committed I guess.

Seinfeld is clearly at the top.
But yeah, always sunny, curb your enthusiasm, arrested development, and trailer park boys are all worthy of mention.
