Watching this Maui Classic UNLV-Davidson game right now. Startling number of white guys in the game, just a minute ago it was 8 I think. Just an observation.

Ha! Been a long time since I’ve seen a Texas basketball team winning a tournament, at least as far as I recall since I’m not a big hoops fan. But maybe the basketball team will make up for some of the football disappointments this year.

I’ve always wondered why Texas didn’t have a better basketball team. I mean, it’s a huge school with a huge athletic budget. Seems like you ought to be able to buy some decent coaches and back channel pay some good players to join (but that would be wrong).

How is it possible that small schools like Gonzaga are even able to compete in the NCAA, never mind be dominate forces?

I've said the same thing about ND for a while now. How can football be great but basketball be average? They need a critical mass.

ACC made up some serious ground in some nail biters tonight.

Here’s to hoping the season continues, Coach K’s comments after last nights game were daunting. Though I never fault anyone for speaking ill of the NCAA
