    binding placement for mojos

so i found a good deal on last years mad trix mojos and got a pair of the 176s. im 5'8 150 ski hard and about 80% powder, steeps, trees and 20% park. was wondering if anyone here has personal experience or knowledge on where to mount bindings for that type of skiing. looks like the recommended line is about 6 cm back from center. is that about right for mostly all mountain skiing? thanks

I have a pair of 176 I use for mostly park. I think I mounted them 1.5cm or 2cm ahead of the line. That gives them plenty of tail for fakie stuff in my opinion. For your described purposes I would go .5 or 1 forward. Unless you are a super stong skier (ie. no backseat), I would go a bit forward as oppossed to on the mark. Hope that helps. Nice skis, enjoy 'em.

I mounted mine 1.5 back, for a less jibby ski. felt strange the first time out on them, but I got used to it. If I had the choice, I would mount demo binders on them, and mess around until I found the right spot.

I think he meant the boot center mark on the ski is 6 cm behind the skis actual core center. This sounds right. On a PE or Fujative or Seth Pistol the Core center is like 7 cm ahead of the boot center, which is where skis are always marked.

Were you thinking, maybe, 6 cm behind boot center. This would indeed be absurd.

yeah, the recommended line is about 6 cm back from what i measured to be the center. does anyone else have suggestions? im mostly concerned about being too forward to ski bumps, going over the handlebars on cliffs, and diving in powder although i think theyre fat enough that that shouldnt be a problem
